Is there a videogame character that can defeat SCP-096?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Mario jump on head.
Yoshi eat him lol.
>>
Given that most core SCPs are mary sues who have their bullshit powers updated to be even more retarded at the drop of a hat, probably not.
>>
>>382369347
What about SCP-106?
I doubt any SCP would be able to get out of a pocket-dimension by force.
>>
>>382369645
>I doubt any SCP would be able to get out of a pocket-dimension by force.
There's straight up a case for that for 682, IIRC. The one where they use that reality warping book on it.
>>
>>382369127
The Dragonborn, if he can put a bucket on SCP-096's head.
>>
>>382369127
SCP-096 document is kind of wage on the 'off state' vulnerability but the researcher responsible for the breach incident believes he can kill it.
So basically the whole problem is to sneak up to that fucker without looking at it's face so you don't trigger the killing rage making it invulnerable.
>>
>>382370118
>SCP-682
I still fail to see what the fuck it actually is.
When I used to read a lot of it I came to the conclusion that it's a god, or an entity close to it.
It's probably the Mary Su of the Mary Su's
>>

I wonder what the egg of SCP-096 would smell like haha
>>

>When I used to read a lot of it I came to the conclusion that it's a god, or an entity close to it.
I vaguely remember one of those scenarios where they try to use the SCP who basically claims to be God on it. He can't see it (and it can't interract with him) and when he finds out what it was he's super pissed, saying 'it's not one of his', or something to that effect.
Whatever they were going for, it's high octane mary sue material at any rate. This is why you don't try to develop a setting with a collective bank of faggots who can't write to save their lives.

>>

The only things that can kill him are whatever destroyed the parallel world when you cross into that cave in India, and something that can destroy it at a cellular level which is basically Thaumiel-tier. Hell, most Thaumiel stuff would probably be able to kill it since they end dimensions and worlds.

Considering that 343 doesn't even register it and that it's survived reality warping, that seems hard to believe. Which ones do you mean? I guess there's that one (or maybe a few) unavoidable world-ending SCPs, that one thing that's beyond universal, and the high-tier reality warping loli, but nothing else really springs to mind.

Originally it was just a really aggressive giant lizard that could regenerate almost any wound.

The problems started when people began writing different failed attempts at killing it. At first it was just stuff like "Well we tried shooting it with lasers but it regenerated too quickly", but then people started getting other SCPs involved. Some are used appropriately, others completely break the other SCP's rules because in a fair fight 682 would've died and they can't have that happen. Rather than clean the page up and establish a "no other keters" rule they just let the shit pile up to a ridiculous degree, and now it's a mary sue.
>>
>>382372820
What even is apollyon? Last time I had a trawl through the wiki was when there were just the basic three classes. And the object classes page doesn't have an entry for "apollyon".

SCP originally was just an interesting little roleplaying thing where people came up with monsters, paranormal activities and stories surrounding them. Then reddit came along and turned it into a huge circlejerk on who can create the most over powered and/or edgiest entry, turning SCP as a whole into a joke to everyone except the most dedicated fans.

>>
>>382374035
They should purge a great many SCP's, and I don't mean make new log entries where they "kill off" the entry, I mean just fucking delete it and pretend it never, ever existed, as things should be.

Also, has there ever been another SCP like K? He was one of the "killed off" Marie Sue SCP's. He was the bald guy with a monkey tail and red eyes with DBZ powers who kept making the SCP foundation his bitch, couldn't be contained without his permission, was super smart, powerful, the best fighter, beat up all the elite SCP squads, every woman wanted to fuck him, etc...
>>
>>382373759
Which one was that?
>>
>>382373461

The other problem is the classifications themselves are sorta vague and counter intuitive.

>Safe means it's understood, but might will be dangerous.
>Euclid means it not that understood and could be dangerous.
>Keter means it's not understood and really dangerous.

So 96 who can't be slowed, kills anyone who sees his face, and can't be contained when he is on the chase is labeled Euclid. Fine, you hide his picture and he sits in his box.

But 682 is also just a rage beast,
who can be contained once he breaks out, and only attacks randomly is keter. You find these inconsistencies all over the site.
>>
Reminder that only SCPs that appear in the game are canon and the others are just bad creepypastas
most people think SCP is an excuse to make overpowered bullshit when in reality the best SCPs are the ones that focus on the containment and testing

>>
>>382374434
>most people think SCP is an excuse to make overpowered bullshit when in reality the best SCPs are the ones that focus on the containment and testing
The people writing SCPs now are as far away from the people who wrote the ones that spawned the website and the overall setting as you can get.
>>
Think of an original SCP idea, its class, and containment procedure right now.
>>
>>382374515
>Keter is for end of the world type shit
Keter is for anything that's difficult to contain and extremely dangerous, I get the impression Apollyon was their first attempt at an SCP that simply can't be dealt with. It's not just an end-of-world scenario, it's the defacto one that can't be prevented, it's inevitable. Hence half the article being smoke and mirrors about procedures supposedly intended to contain it but actually don't do anything. Probably that's what they were going for anyway.
>>
>>382374515
Because it ends existence as we know it for everyone. It can bypass dimensions, you can't really contain it without another Devourer's body, it ended the life of everything in its own dimension, it required what essentially amounts to wizards to even think of a way to contain it and execute it, and it's an inevitable doom with no way out at all in the next century.

Keter just ends that current dimension's existence/leads to the mass death and extinction of humanity, and you can most likely still use the body cloning SCP to repopulate the earth and fix the problem for tons of the Keters.

Everything is royally fucked and they can't even be aware of it without everyone dying
Still Keter
>>
>>382374408

I thought they were pretty clear. Safe means that is completely understood; any damage done by it is more a case of someone hurting themselves using it rather than it hurting them. Euclid means that it is dangerous but only in specific circumstances. Keter means that is exists solely to fuck your shit up and will do so at any opportunity. There are correlations with how well the SCP is understood, how hard it is to contain etc but really the classifications are just a shorthand for how much it wants to kill you.
>>
>>382375539
There are some pretty harmless Keter however, they're just hard as fuck to contain and would make the rest of humanity aware of all the bizarre stuff going on

That's still an End-of-the-World scenario, it's not an End-of-Existence scenario. It only kills that specific dimension's human life, and even then it seems like you could just rely on the cloning SCP to remake humanity since they would have no knowledge of the memetic 3125 and continue again. Appolyon is death for everything, in your universe, in parallel universes, in different existences, everything and you have no method at all to contain it once it unleashes itself.
>>
>>382375510
Well 2317 was written a while back. There's been a whole bunch more of K-class SCPs (too many, really) added since then. The great thing about 2317 is that only the top brass of the association are even allowed to know that containing it is fucking pointless and that everyone is fucked, whilst varying levels of contrived bullshit are fed to lower level operatives to keep up the impression that everything is fine. That one doesn't have the same novelty, despite being functionally the same kind of scenario, so it kind of hurts 2317 retroactively. Pity, really. Also, it probably should be Apollyon too, if that's what the definition is.

The reason for that is because faggots were constantly writting and submitting self insert "OMG mai SCP is liek uber it can kill 682 without even luking and it's totally god for realz."

So what they have done with 682 is that is "can't be killed" and anything that could potentially kill it they would never try because it MIGHT not kill it and then 682 gets stronger.

682 is basically a bullshit barrier, anything you think is so amazing and powerful probably isn't and even if it is it will never be used so actually your self insert anime waifu is just a poorly written 1 dimensional fap bait so we're free to remove and rewrite it.

SCP whatever-the-fuck
Object class: euclid (easily neutralized)
Object can be contained by locking it in a cell. Object whatever-the-fuck is a small, physically unimposing teenage boy with a disfigured face, who has become immortal. this is due to the tupla-like effect that the belief in his invulnerability has had. Those who believe in him are either foolish children, or edgy teenage virgins with exceptionally low IQs. Object is considered to only be dangerous in the most generous of terms despite his insistence that he has killed many times before now, victims including his family. Personnel are permitted to back hand the subject to shut him up if he becomes an issue.
Plot twist, the shitty weak teenage immortal is Jeff the Killer

The few scp that can defeat him are usually planet or universe destroyers, and there is only handful of those, they try to cull those unless well written and well contained.

One that can kill 682 is a spc locked in another dimension that can destroy life in the entire universe on a conceptual level. Ghosts, AIs, and everything else died. Possibly even the afterlife got erased.

vivec can defeat every video game character except for a select few others, because vivec has CHIM. CHIM allows Vivec to unmake anyone that could ever potentitally threaten him to the point that they never existed in the first place. Only another CHIM user can cancel out CHIM, and then there is still the matter of actual combat after that.

SCP-First available number

Class:Safe

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-FAN is to be kept locked in a shipping container at site REDACTED until further notice.

Description: SCP-FAN consists of SCP-FAN(1) and SCP-FAN(2). SCP-FAN(1) resembles a mall display stand, appears to be painted particleboard measuring 4 feet high and a 1.5'x1.5' perimeter. A red button protruding out of the top of stand with the words "Press Me" engraved on it. A cable terminating in a REDACTED style plug is stapled onto the side. SCP-FAN(2) consists of three similar REDACTED television screens roughly REDACTED sizes. Seeing how REDACTEDnever made televisions and the fact that REDACTED until roughly five years after first knowledge of SCP-FAN, that it is assumed to be part of the anomaly. The televisions are tied to a rusted chicken wire fence with what appears to be zip-ties, however the televisions themselves appear to be in good quality. At the base of the chicken wire is a three prong power adapter with four available slots.

Retrivial: First knowledge came in 1998 when a level two field team were doing a routine "folklore" check in REDACTED region and followed a rumor of a haunted house with a scarier display than the maze. Presenting as writers for REDACTED the owner of SCP-FAN was quick to sell it. Allegedly the owner acquired itREDACTED into a dead end.

Properties: Preliminary examination of the stand show there is no internal mechanisms and the televisions have no buttons. Noted anaomlies: The televisions and stand show no response to being powered solo. When plugged into any standard outlet the button lights up and the Television screens turn on, but only if all four objects are plugged in. The television displays what appears a security camera feed of SCP-FAN(1) from three different angles.

When powered off, the button on SCP-FAN is easily pressed with no noticeable results. However when fully powered SCP-FAN produces feelings of dread directly proportional to the intent to pressing the button. See testing log[This took longer than expected, mostly we're going to be funny attempts to press the button but only attempts made without a living human worked] for attempted results. The displays on the Television are not accurate to what is currently happening to SCP-FAN and each suggest a different thing. See log [Basically the right screen implied pushing the button swapped one reality for a completely similar reality, but the person who pushed the button looked nothing like the person making the attempt. Similar for the left but they randomly were killed. Center screen showed someone almost exactly like the current pusher, but with minor differences, nothing happens when they push the button.]

The only reason why they haven't used this fact to kill off the lizard is because they have yet to create a vehicle that can properly contain it for transport.

Sounds like that one where some young girl is pregnant with some demon that could end the world if born but will stay in her if it feeds off of fear from people. The original story had D class rape her every day while others watched/listened to her and the demon fed off that fear. The girl was also given amnesiacs to make her forget the rape so every one was just as bad to her as the last. Eventually someone updated the page to have an alternate procedure where she doesn't actually get raped but the witnesses think she is so the demon gets the fear but nothing bad is really happening. I can't remember what SCP this was, so if someone does know and wants to link it that would be great.

It's a set of six-sided dice. Rolling it in the context of a game, any game, will cause it to roll against the favor of the player, and alter reality in a short range around it. This ranges from traditional board games to simple bets. For instance, saying "I need to roll anything but 1" will result in a roll of one, but at the same time, "I win if this table we're playing on doesn't ignite, I win" causes the dice to vibrate at such a rapid speed it could light fire to a wooden table. It only operates a short distance away from the vicinity of the players, so saying "I win if this world leader is still alive" or "It's my game if the sun doesn't extinguish itself" have no effect.

they never really pussied out with it. it seems like a lot of people forgot that Procedure 110-Montauk was never meant to be explained. The author of the article described it as 'worse than rape' but never came out and said it. It's said to be invulnerable to conventional means when ragetriggered, but considering the wide range of vidya powers and how SCP touts itself as realistic low scifi horror fantasy steeped in science - at least old SCP did before its community took the road of NeoGAF and RPGNet - it's difficult to say if he'd be stronger than anything else.

Plus you could send a stealthy or blind character at him and kill him.

One of the endings is him getting a special nuclear device used against him that kills him, but it's one of the hardest endings to get in the SCP game. Highly concentrated acids also stop his regeneration process. The lizzan isn't really as invincible as people think. He's Jason basically. Killable, but very hard to kill.

I don't know the numbers but
>Submarine that has an alternate reality inside of it that kills anyone who enters it.
>The hill in Indiana where you walk through it and enter an alternate reality but everyone died including every single SCP and they don't know why.
>The alternate reality where they go through the mirror and find logs about other mirrors or something like that and how the native population got killed.
>Memetic game show where the guy pops out and everyone laughs
>The mask
>Sumatran guy and the one SCP they have that can actually interact with him that he has a feud with.
>Plague doctor
>Don't look at its face
>Infohazard that is told entirely in pictographs
>Space racist inside an alternate dimension house that hates humans and talks to a human.
Pretty much any of the alternate reality ones always are really long and a great read since they are incredibly suspenseful.

>SCP-300, "Lil Tootied"
>Euclid

A hilariously ugly black man that changes in height, weight, hair color, hair style, and clothing every 5 minutes, this change occurs in the blink of an eye and damages any recording technology that attempts to catch the switch. Opening his mouth emits various trap and drill songs at an extremely high, though not dangerous decibel level. Upon being in sight of SCP-300, he will open his mouth and release his musical lure, which causes the subject to start hitting dem folk's with insane skill and coordination, once the subject is free of SCP-300, they will have permanently gained increased rhythm, musical capability, dance skill, and will also feel an intense need to watch Worldstar Camera comps and pick up the latest copies of Mixed magazine.

Should be kept in a standard room with reinforced doors to prevent him from breaking out. All subjects attempting to interact with SCP-300 are advised to wear ear and eye protection.

Anyone else ever find the Foundation absurd from the way it's sustained? The fact that the entire organization as a whole would be unsustainable and impossible to run without everyone in the world having amnestics fed to them on a daily basis is a stretch since there are so many SCPs, so many SCPs locked to areas that require constant guards, so many SCPs that are buildings, etc. Hell, they go through thousands of D-class seemingly every day, exactly how many people are on death row in the entire world that you can grab them every single day to perform tests?

How in the hell do you have this shadow organization staff defenses for every single one of these SCPs when some of them take dozens if not hundreds of guards that get killed off every time anything remotely related to the thing happens? 073 for example kills dozens if not hundreds of people before getting "killed" himself and they have to be on call 24/7 in case the coffin does open up. How do you get enough guards that have passed your incredibly ridiculous standards to the point that you put them on a conveyor belt of death? Every single one of them has to have some high level of memetic resistance just to keep their post at things like the mask or 3000 for example.

"I'm not a robot"

Euclid

Uncontained/Containment Procedure in progress

SCP-XXXX is a captcha program meant to determine whether or not one is able to post or register on a series of websites hosted in across numerous cities in North America. It is currently unknown how many sites currently exist but the foundation has successful brought down approximately [DATA REDACTED]

SCP-XXXX functions like as a standard captcha system would. Its anomalous property occurs when a user, henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-2, fails its test three times in succession. After this point the captcha will begin to display pictures of SCP-XXXX-2 and ask that they be highlighted. Failure to do this, which occurs often due to SCP-XXXX's apparent disregard for accuracy, will begin to display pictures of SCP-XXXX-2 being wounded often depicting lacerations or blunt trauma. Should SCP-XXXX-2 fail to solve the captcha that display their wounded selves they will immediately suffer these wounds.

>"It's Me"
What can only be described as an average-height person wearing a yellow raincoat with a brimmed hoodie and standard black sunglasses, with no other visible clothing. Upon closer inspection, the individual appears to be completely invisible under his garments, ala the classic Invisible Man. He's docile at first, as long as his often absurd demands are kept in check by the personnel, which range from giving whatever he wants to eat for the day to redecorating his containment cell based on his ultra specific tastes. Failure in doing so appropriately or at a moderate pace results in him getting increasingly angrier at whoever is near him, going from hostile shouting to [REDACTED], with little to no chance of survival unless the subject complies to his whims. Personnel may engage in friendly banter under moderate supervision as to not frustrate him.
Upon being interviewed after his acquisition by the Foundation, it has been found out that he's the product of a little girl's imagination, and he that he wasn't the only one back there. Further investigation reveals that all the others came to a end he won't disclose any sort of information about, including the little girl which was the only one he truly cared about. Extreme proposals and bribes have been employed, including partial liberation from the facility, but he has expressed he could just get out any time if he wanted to. Noteworthy fact: Every single time he's asked about his name or any kind of personal info not noted in this document, it's answered with a simple "It's Me".

Even so they have very general rules about how certain things are done that all stories have to abide by. O5 council is a canon thing, the rankings of scientists and workers are all canon, D-class as a concept is the same (Convicted criminals put on death row), and the safety levels on things are all constants. At the very least you can argue D-class is a nonsensical thing because keeping up the supply would mean the Foundation is purposely creating people to go on Death Row as it wouldn't even remotely be sustainable.

To be fair, the dangerous ones are supposed to be nigh invincible, because the ones who aren't were already terminated by the facility.
They always try to kill the super dangerous ones at one point or another, the only ones that are still alive are the ones that can't be killed and can only be contained.

What's this?

The only known existing instance of SCP-9444 is carved with hypersonic water jets onto the surface of a small slab of rhenium diboride, a material harder than diamond, coated with the [REDACTED] protective high-friction surface, to prevent additional writing from adhering or being imprinted into the slab. The carving is also in code, encrypted with several layers of A-grade encryption methods known only to [REDACTED]-level staff members and above. The slab is in a safe in location [REDACTED] until further notice.

SCP-9444 is a specific two-hundred-letter word (or string of characters, as the string has not been determined to have any specific meaning or to be similar in structure to any existing language)
Inserting it into a text document renders all adjacent words permanently illegible. Illegible here signifying that the words lose their meaning worldwide, such that no living human understands their definition or meaning. As of now it is still uncertain if any similar words have been created to fill the linguistic gap created by SCP-9444. Naturally, SCP-9444 could cause extreme worldwide chaos if abused, but the word itself is inert, warranting no higher rating than Safe. All known public instances of the word has been destroyed. All known people who have read the word have been administered A-grade amnesics, including foundation personnel.

An abandoned house on a hill that has a seemingly infinite basement. Attempts to go down into it shut down all access to internet, making it impossible to contact others in it. While going down, some have found corpses, seemingly killed by something, but no traps or anything that is hostile can be found there. The foundation contains it by having a group of soldiers work to ensure nobody goes down into it, but sometimes some of them just disappear on their own. Their bodies are found deep within, charred and covered in bandages, making it unclear as to what killed them.
