Is this one of the most overrated games of all time??
>>382363679
Mechanically it's just another modern GTA, but the setting sells it.
>>382363679
Oh hi, Petition Creator. Still mad, huh?
>>382363679
>Said the angry mustard who never played the game
>>382364160
please stop ban evading
>>382363679
t. pc gaymer
it is
it's actually worse than gtaiv
>>382363679
One of, yes. It was far from perfect in the beginning, but in Mexico it became a borefest.
Undead Nightmare was great, though. Almost like TBoGT for GTAIV.
>>382364160
Tripcode added to filters, thanks.

I watched a playthrough. I can definitely spot garbage without playing it.
No not at all. LA Noir is up there though if we want to keep it rockstar.
Final Fantasy as a whole is overrated as fuck. Never understood why people love that shit so much but then again I'm not a week faggot.
I used think Dark Souls was overrated until I killed the first hog and black Knight and actually got far in the game.
>>382364423
> GTA IV was bad
You disgust me.
>>382363679
It is a VERY good game. But yes, I thought it is a bit overrated. As a completionist, the mostly empty world, the annoying skinning animations and the sidequests that were just pure grinding really made it overstay it's welcome.
Once I was done with the game I was truly DONE with it.
>>382365157
didn't say that
>>382363679
No. That would be The Witcher 3 and, especially for /v/, New Vegas
>>382363679
Yeah it's overrated, but it's actually worth a lot of the praise it gets
If you want a REALLY overrated game pick any game with the word "Zelda" in the title
>>382364934
>no I didn't play it but-
>>382365434
>not playing games is somehow wrong on /v/
makes sense to me
the sandbox is empty and there's nothing to do in it, while the story is just an excuse to link together all the far west trope missions they wanted to hit on their bingo. Really there's no reason for this game to be open world when all you do is ride to the next cutscene.
>>382365758
Stranger missions and random events wouldnt work without open world. Also hunting.
>>382365758
This is a Red Dead thread, not a Breath of the Wild thread
>>382363679
Yes, it's shallow and not fun
>muh atmosphere xDDDD
>>382365626
>not playing a game, then saying you hate it
Way to continue the traditions of the cancerous half of /v/.
>>382365175
LOL nigga just put your horse on the animal to not get the skinning animation
>>382366140
>not being a fucking shill is somehow cancerous
simply epic
>>382363679
Zelda
all of them
>>382366240
I don't think you know what shill means, anon.
>>382366240
Decent bait, but you came on a little too strong
Probably Rockstar's best game.
Something that has always irked me about modern GTA games is that they always have some stupid Scorcese wannabe story that is impossible to take seriously because of the overt parody world that surrounds it. RDR is one of the few games they have where they play ALMOST everything straight. You still have that shitty fucking Mexico part, by far the worst part of the game where the biggest NPC you interact with is an over-the-top goofball, but for the most part everything is played completely straight. As a result, you can actually enjoy the story and the characters.
Then the gameplay is all fine and dandy. The sandbox approach feels very different when wilderness and plains are what makes up most of the map instead of buildings you can't enter.

>Game has no difficulty at all.
>game has money with almost nothing to spend it on.
>Boring cover-based combat with regenerating health bullshit.
>>382366701
At least the lead up to Mexico was good.
