Fuck the first two racing levels in Crash 3. The third is really easy because its so long that if you fuck up 2-3 times you can still win easily but the second two are basically 1 mistake and it can be over even something small.

The plane levels are also pointless trash. Its easy to do everything in them and they last literally 30 seconds because all you have to do is mash x well holding down the fire button and you're effectively invincible.

I remember it being hard as shit when I was a kid and getting Game Overs on the way to the ending.

There's just a few parts (temple ruins for example) where I feel like I jump right at the edge of a platform- hold the button down and still manage to slip off the edge and die. Like when I finally got it it felt more like luck then anything.

Then there's parts that are just badly designed like the N.Brio bonus level in the first factory level that has you bouncing on boxes on the top of the screen where you can't see shit. (Though luckily bonus stages don't count so it was w/e)

I've played through the originals so many times I could recite for you the exact level orders and which gems are found inside, as well as which ones have death routes. I've played them to fucking death. I haven't failed that box bridge bit in the first level since I was a kid.

Seriously. I started the game, went "wow this is all slightly off", then got used to it because it's not actually broken or bad in any way. I was playing it like I was playing it since 1996 by the time I got to ripper roo.

My problem with those fucking turtles is I can't start any momentum while jumping on them. Crash would just move one tile ahead die or i would jump from them with no momentum and fall short. I'd have to jump on them, run back and forward full speed to get the distance right. It's really weird and precise.
