Pretty good but story has some weak points.

GOTY in my opinion, but I haven't played the other popular contenders

I agree, a great game but the story had some quite lame moments and around Sae's palace it started to fuck up a bit. The ending and the build up to it was fantastic though.

I didn't visit /v/ at all after Persona 5 was released in Japan, so I'm curious was it easy to get spoiled on /v/?

I feel like there were some lame exposition to some pretty integral stuff. It wasn't wrong or anything but they could have incorporated it into the game better so that the end had a better reason to happen instead of "we are all locked up down here and we like it in jail herp derp".
I wish they spent a bit more time on doing some more with the school trips and changing locations and having new social gameplay opportunities etc. i liked hawaii but it wasn't enough and even the game acknowledges that

Probably the best Persona game in terms of gameplay.

The pacing of the game is pretty poor though. Would have liked more side content outside of social links.

I loved it. Though, I felt like the first few weeks dragged on too much. Thought there were too many times when I couldn't make any choices.

Great combat, but the dungeons were mediocre and very linear. Still preferable to P3 and 4's.

Okay plot, but it falls into the exact same trappings as P4 did and even follows the same basic formula. Some of the plot twists don't even make sense.

Rad soundtrack and art design

Overall, 8.5/10. Flawed, but the most fun I've had this year.

p5 was the first game in a very long time in which i started a second playthrough immediately after finishing it. shit is excellent.

I think they need to rework social activities. I knew I have to max out confidants efficiently since I played P4 but I tried to play P5 properly and just do what I felt is fun. I did bunch of useless stuff like batting and shit but second half of the game was just go to Chihaya -> affinity boost -> confidant at day -> confidant at night, extremely repetetive. They should've added more social events or one more timeslot for activities. Or make confidant less grindy.
