I have no idea how to answer that using technical terms so... they look better and variety is the spice of life. The DOF especially was much higher quality. You could also use Nvidia's AO which looks good. OR's SSAO is so smudgy and ugly, I can't stand it.

How does Oblivion's distance look good?

Is there a mod for either game that adds something Dremora-related? Those guys are cool but I can only find mods that enable them as a playable race, give you a generic companion or change them to look like super generic succubi because talent. I don't mind those cannothaves which are super specialized for people's speshul snowflake characters. It would feel wrong using them knowing that they were made specifically for a certain type of character or story. Like those skin mods with special scars or tattoos.

It's nice when you put effort into something which is truly yours and unique. I have a simple armor mash up for my Skyrim vigilant character. Nothing special just a few little mesh edits in Nifskope, but I prefer it over everything else because of aforementioned reasons. It's kinda like unique Bodyslide presets or even face presets.

But if I were to make something broad, useful and less personal I'd share it for sure.
