It was not hard, it was just unfair. I dropped the game after like the 50th try to beat him.

Good game that went to shit bc of shitty decisions. Not just with the boss.

Didn't make me hate it but the bosses were definitely the weak point of YS1. The final boss in particular was awful i cut it a little slack because it's built on a nearly 30 year old game but i still enjoyed it overall.

I can't remember how many times I died fighting him on Nightmare, but it was like 1 hour of pure suffering. Maybe thats why beating him on the Boss Rush felt easier and got every Steam achievements from YS I.
