What if you were to give this game to, say, twenty... intelligent people i mean, what would that do? Let's face it what would it do?
>>
>>382328997
why does he need a lens on his forehead?
according to the oriental cultures, having an 'eye' on the forehead is clearly a sign of demonic personality
>>
>>382328997
This game got me into Splinter Cell.

Not gonna lie, former Metal Gear Solid player here. This is fucking hilarious watching Solid Snake crash and burn. But in all seriousness we can't let this guy get the Metal Gear codes.
>>
has it still got the problem with dx11 @120 hz
i remember having to play in dx9. they ever sort that?
>>
>>382328997
I started the stealth genre with conviction and it felt kinda meh
this one was really smooth and comfy to play with

And Sam Fisher is pretty much a demon in Blacklist. Bravo, Ubisoft!
>>
>>382329116
The lights are green for the player to know that he's hidden in darkness, in universe they obviously don't glow green.
>>
>>382330758
how exactly do green lights relate to being hidden in darkness? I'm missing something here?
also the game provides a play on colors as a feedback of stealth
>>
>>382331090
If I remember correctly, they light up whenever Fisher is concealed by darkness.
>>
>>382328997
Blacklist is worse than conviction
and conviction is trash as well.

Besides initial release shitposting, the general consensus had been pretty positive actually.

This, the consensus seems like it's a fun game and a step in the right direction, though obviously not CT.
>>
I actually enjoyed Conviction. How is this one?

the first 2 manhunt games had good stealth

DUDE SHADOWS LMAO

>>382335580
Mechanics are very similar to Conviction, but it's more of a classic SC game with focus on stealth.

My bro and me absolutely loved the coop in conviction. We just got blacklist on sale, from what I understand the coop is not like a real campaign but just individual missions, hope it's still fun.
>>
>>382328997
Great game (along with Conviction), just not a great Splinter Cell game, yada yada...
>>
this game made me really feel deadly
>>
>>382337374
Every side mission can be played as co-op.
>>
>>382338014
Yeah, people shit on M&E for making the game too easy, but it's the closest thing we can get to being John Wick.
>>
Blacklist has the best gameplay of the series
Well, except when the guards start cheating at higher difficulties and home to your position
>>
The only thing Conviction did better

If they're going to make these games more combat oriented then I wish they would take notes from tactical shooters instead of cover shooters.
>>
>>382339447
according to Allah, beating women make them. better

Worse story but gameplay is better. You can play full pacifist stealth. I didn't even use the execution crutch.

the actual game systems are mostly fine
falling back on weird xp trees to try and make stealth attractive comes across as a soulless compromise; the game's too stealth to satsify gears normies, but not simply killing everybody has to be a conscious and arbitrary meta-choice, as it's both faster and easier to murder everything, with no meaningful punishment beyond one or two missions

but splinter cell isn't just "good stealth game"
it's quiet, intimate, deliberately low-key
chaos theory's jazzy bank music is perfect in large part because of how well it fits the tenor of the gameplay. sam muttering "ngh, stinks" under his breath, fumbling with a lockpick, while the disabled camera overhead is quietly fizzing back to life

the comm banter is understated and human, compared to blacklist's designated comic relief characters and awkward quipping between parody-level self-serious sub-24 exposition
the pace traces a wholly unique line between the relaxed ease of a master starting to get just a little too old for this shit, and the tension knowing that one mistake could break the flow - compared to blacklist's Intense Cinematic orchestral pumping and mega-kill bombast
sure, chaos theory's cg cutscenes are stupid cartoons, but those go away in seconds and then it's back to the real meat

i actually respect conviction more for knowing exactly what it wants to be, even if it diverges completely from basically everything splinter cell was. blacklist tries 10 things and it's good at maybe 2 of them

This bear is so kawaii desu, I want to cuddle him ;-;
>>
>>382342146
I love BL, but you do make some good points.
>>
It's not a Splinter Cell and "Sam Fisher" was a fag in BL. Just an above average action oriented game with stealth aspects, even Conviction was better.

Blacklist did well to make more of Conviction's core gameplay. The mechanics are fun as hell, but bad, inconsistent AI, Millennial Sam, a terrible new cast/plot, dropped competitive modes and buggy co-op missions let the game down. Grim was fine as hell tho

>tfw nothing will ever beat Archer and Kestrel's campaign
>>
>>382346686
The FPS section was about 5 minutes long and served as a showcase for Merc mode, I don't understand why people got so upset by it.

It wasn't the end of the world, but ubisoft in particular does this shit all the time. Have a solid core gameplay loop, and then, not even near the beginning of the game, force some completely different (often shit) thing in there for variety, and the whole time it's just "fuck this noise I just want to go back to the main shit I bought this for . "
>>
>>382350643
Apart from unskippable cutscenes, this game was pretty much a flawless shooter.
