Not a bad game.
But it lacks substance.

Feels a lot like a PS1/N64 or PS2 era game but only better graphics which isn't realy that bad acualy.
It has good precision platforming and the combat focuses more on dodging enemy attacks not precision shooting kinda like megaman legends.

This pretty much. Also it's not very coherent, once you get to the final boss the outside is supposed to be apocalyptic, but if you leave, the overworld is 100% normal.

Also phase 1 of final boss is much harder than phase 2.

Uh, Cold Fear, ObsCure, Mark of the Ninja, Shadow Man. Basically any AA PS2/Xbox era game ala Ku-on, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory or Maken Shao: Demon Sword.

Whole bunch of earlier games. Basically every decent DOS/PC Engine/Commodore 64 game. No-one really talks about those anymore unless they're Doomclones. I don't know. There's a lot of games out there.
