Was it Kyle Schneider in MG2? Then Grey Fox in MGS1, Olga in 2 (plant Chapter) and Raiden in 4. There was some speculation of the unused Chico concept art that he'd have had that role in TPP.
And Gray Fox wasn't initially supposed to be in MGS1, but was added after Shinkawa did an updated sketch of the Black Ninja and Kojima decided to include it.
