The way game shows his gradual descent into insanity was superb. That moment when he makes makeshift grave on a field of lunar tears is one of the most heart-wrenching things i saw in video games, as well as flight unit message which was a really cruel thing as the last he needed is one more reminder that he lost a person who loved him as much as he loved her.

No, he lives for 2B. In concert ending he seems to be confused as fuck about being alive and 2B crying on his body, but their last words is a promise to live on no matter what happens in the future.
Though he certainly would grow up after all the shit he went through and especially his personal catharsis in ending D.
