How is the artifact power grind in the game right now? I heard they made some changes to it. I quit the game after killing mythic Krosus due to guild getting burnt out on grinding 54 traits and having shit legendaries. Might come back to check out the new raid, do I have to grind shitloads of AP to be competitive in mythic Tomb?

Also are Demon Hunters still the boring ass static hitter they were in Nighthold? I really liked the fel rush/momentum shenanigans in the early days of legion but then they nerfed it and wanted demon hunters to go felblade build, which was fucking boring.

Arms warriors did, but they've been buffed to do more in case of no resets, they have better aoe than before, and CS cooldown was cut down by more than half so their damage doesn't fall behind healers. Execute is also much stronger because of the new traits and their cleave is amazing. Fury has been fun and consistent, but arms does well in most of the fights in the new raid and I'm glad.

Haven't played in 5 months but around +10 they got challenging. Wouldn't do anything above +12 without voice comms.
The difficulty usually comes from the instance, affixes and group composition. If you have a shit group composition, even the easiest dungeon can seem hard on +15.

Yeah if you really miss WoW. Private servers are better and have actually decent communities. The retail WoW community is basically the worst parts of kotaku and reddit combined together.

I suggest if you get into legion making a DH and specializing in mining / herbalism. Max your recipes for it and learn how to farm felslate / starlight roses.

I make 200,000 gold every 2 days of farming. I have 3 years worth of WoW gametime paid off by just a few months of hard work.

Mythic dungeons with a full PUG group with no/low gear limits was the only fun I had with Legion. Having zero expectations and having to mix and match your gameplan to compensate for the shortcomings of the group was the most dynamic gameplay you could have. Plus if you had a group that didn't enforce high ilvls, everyone was chillax and sometimes chatted as well.

I think he's talking about the Void Lords thing but I'm not sure. I don't mind. Hell, i hope the next expansion takes us to a entire new planet. Being free of having to make something people know about brings out the best in Blizzard. Look at MoP. All we knew about the Pandaren was that they were Chinese Panda people. And they were able to make an entire expansion about it. Legion feels too safe. Elven ruins and demon infested ruins. They did a good job with the visuals but the themes are nothing new.
Them having to make something new should get their creative juices flowing. They could make the later parts about the Void/Old gods infesting the planet.
We have the sargerite keystone. They key to all worlds. It's time to leave Azeroth behind.

Yeah that possibly rules it out. I can see it being a reward from army of light related shit. Though end boss mounts aren't directly related to the boss so much as they are related to a boss in the raid. Blackhands mount was the mythic add on the Beastlord fight, Archi's was a compact Iron Reaver, and Garrys mount was just a smaller Iron Juggernaut.

Why? I played Legion for about 3 days at max level and couldn't stand the grind of WQs and dungeons. There was just 0 community, everyone sits in Dalaran spamming Mythic + groups and runs them silently.

Even if you are a mythic raider, the grind for AP will suck any joy you had out of the game unless you have autism and like seeing numbers increase.

It was honestly fun at the beginning and I admit I quit playing mid WOTLK and only played 1 month every other expansion hoping it would pull me back in, but none managed except Legion which I played for 5 months.

My biggest complaint is how classes are just cosmetic choices now. Do you want to deal damage that goes BOOM or that goes SWOOSH? All classes are the fucking same and they do the same things equally. Don't even get me started on pets. From a really interesting mechanic of the game they are basically DoTs that you put on the target. That is all. It doesn't matter which pet you have, it's just some damage added.

I could go on ranting for hours but seriously. Who's great idea was it to make all classes the same and be as good at everything as the others?!

I remember before and during WotLK (debatable) it would acutally matter which class you were when doing dungeons for example. Nowadays it just matters if you're a tank/dps/healer. That and nothing else. You could do a dungeon or even a raid with only druids and the game would not punish you at all.

For all of the issues WoW has had over its lifespan, the core gameplay (movement, combat, etc.) is still more or less the same, and in comparison to the other MMO's I've tried its always felt the smoothest to me.

Haven't played WoW since Cata before MOP came out. Is it worth jumping back into? I was only really into PvP with my Frost/Blood DK and exploring shit tbqhwy.

So this honestly might be the last WoW expansion then. I have a feeling they're going to announce WoW Classic Servers at blizzcon (They're already remastering warcraft 3 and starcraft, this is the next logical step).

Should I resub? If I create a brand new character, could I get geared in time to start doing flex raids of Argus before the end of the expansion? Or are people too autistic?
