Since we dont have touch of death, it works out. We gained no new attacks, lost a couple, and what we did gain only two of them are used in an opener(Riddle of Fire +Brotherhood immediately after using forbidden chakra)

The old opener mostly works, but you have to tweak it to make it work with the slowdown of Riddle of Fire. I haven't had any troubles keeping GL3 through the opener and before a phase change. Phase changes, on the other hand, suck ass and Riddle of Earth is god awful. It's pretty much always just better to Tornado Kick unless you're absolutely certain using riddle of Earth will make you keep your stacks.

I just did Laksmi for the first time and yeah, I did Demolish - Perfect Balance -> SP - Diversion -> SP - Riddle of Fire -> Dragon Kick - Internal Release -> Twin Snakes - Forbidden Chakra -> SP so it looks like you don't have to modify it at all if you have perfect uptime (and use PB late after the first Demolish), I thought RoF would mess it up more than that. Riddle of Earth is extremely useful too, I never dropped GL in that fight aside from her ultimate (when I had PB anyway) because of it.

Buy a 60-day timecard and activate it a month before the expansion, so you have ample time to catch up and a leisurely month to enjoy the expansion after. If you strip this game back beyond its arbitrary lockouts there's startlingly little novel content, and a casual player can see probably 90% of it without any grinding whatsoever. Honestly, I enjoy raiding but I aint touching it ever again until they completely prevent idiots from joining and sabotaging learning/clear parties; because when your party of dicktards hit the enrage in Sophia EX unsynced with echo there's something critically wrong with either your difficulty balancing or player-education, and if you're not committed to training people to be good you'd better quarantine the bad.

When you realize what "can't use magic" means it begins to make them a lot more sympathetic. That doesn't mean they can't be conjurers and thaumaturges. It means they can't do fucking anything involving aether. Gladiator/Paladin blink uses aether. The thing is a relaunch like that shouldn't have actually worked, especially with the issues when ARR did launch that caused them to stop selling the game for a period. But it did and here we are now. Hell, the documentary revealed that the main reason they went through with ARR to begin with was because they didn't want to have a numbered Final Fantasy be considered a failure.

FFXIV's music definitely wins out in raids and most dungeons, but WoW generally has better ambient music. Furthermore, Stormblood's music has also been lackluster compared to Heavensward. I don't get how we can go from Ishgard's theme and the Dravanian Forelands to something that just sounds like watered down Azys Lla.
