I judged them based on their campaigns more so than their multiplayer, but it's still part of the overall experience. A large part of Halo is it's campaign and story, so even if it has a good multiplayer it's overshadowed by the absolutely trash campaign.

Reach is decent, campaign had a lot of problems, multiplayer was fun. 4's campaign was a complete hock of shit while the multiplayer was okay. 5's multiplayer is great from what I hear but the campaign is absolutely abysmal.

It's very difficult for me to choose a favorite but I give 1 the better reaction since 2 was really just more of the same, but it was still an improvement in many ways.

Not really, combat was entirely balanced around Witch Time and Umbran Climax making combat a matter of baiting out an attack and then waiting for Witch Time. This also meant that attack property were very different in Witch Time so you couldn't launch enemies unless you were in Witch Time which seriously reduces combo potential and overall freedom of the game. They also managed to make all the humanoid bosses trash since they'll infinitely dodge your attacks which makes it a game of dodge -> Witch Time -> combo -> repeat.
I could keep going on, Bayonetta 2 kind of sucked.

I've never seen an actual Bomberman fan before. Is there really that much of a difference between games to warrant that much of a different reaction for each of them? For example, what made you love Bomberman 4 so much, and only like the Switch one?

Halo 3 actually had some really cool levels near the end. Other than that, yeah, the campaign is pretty boring. Local multiplayer was pretty fun as a kid, but even as a 12-14 year old, I knew the games were really overrated.

There are differences between each game that range from subtle (such as overall how the game controls and its physics) to major (powerups, mounts, etc.) There are also the single-player campaigns which are different from game to game, though I know must do not care about. Really it's the kinda thing you have to play and notice, rather than just looking.

Super R is somewhat barebones. It's powerup selection is nothing special (the standard fire ups, bomb ups, speed ups, power glove, bomb kick) with nothing crazy like extra hearts or power bombs. It's also lacks mounts, which were a thing introduce in 94. Compared this to say Super 4 which had a ton of weird mounts you could have. Super R's singe-player campaign doesn't really stand out at all, other than its cutscene. Even it's multiplayer is lacking with only one mode (with not even a tag team mode!). Each game in the Super series improved on its predecessor, but Super R just feels like a step back. So that's why I enjoy it less.

Of course I am, Yakuza 0 was simply amazing although I guess it had the benefit (?) of being a prequel. Anyways I'm always excited for Yakuza stuff, I even own the Wii U HD re release of 1 and 2 when my machine can't play it since it's region locked.
