The game feels outdated compared to newer ones (even San Andreas aged better).
It was an amazing game when it came out though, I played the ever-loving shit out of it back then. I still remember the map by heart.

For all 3 you need a widescreen patch.
For GTA 3 you need a patch to fix the car textures.
For Vice City you need a patch to fix the mouse's y axis sensitivity.

The gaming industry has exploded since SA and that's effected how they produce games. R* were the trend setters who shocked and awed with vulgarity and enginuety. With their bread and butter since a played out commodity in the industry from then on they looked to perfect it - warts and all with IV and V was just there as the icing on the cake, a glitzy show that promised the world and left you wanting more.

R* sold out with V though, the money was there to be milked so you can't blame them but the have a point to make that the produce quality games they care about and nurture down the line without getting greedy.
