Yes it is, for one it's harder, there are more enemies onscreen, it has all the boss fights that sigma removed, runs at 60fps, there's more blood etc, go look up the differences on youtube, the sigma ports were half assed, i'd get sigma 2 solely because it has a few extras, does away with the broken incendiary shurikens and limited arrows and runs at 1080p and a stable 30fps instead of the x360's 720p at 28-10 fps.

Although PS2 has Great exclusives too, the OG xbox gets alot more attention from me nowadays since so many amazing exclusives haven't gotten proper HD rereleases. Panzer Dragoon Orta, JSRF, Project Gotham Racing 1, and Mechassault just to name a few. I know PGR is a racing game with a cheating AI, but damn those cone challenges in 60fps have held up well. I've never understood the love for PGR2 considering that they halfed the frame-rate.

Whacked! was my life when I was 11 and 12. The Whacked! Xbox Live demo that came on the Starting Up disc is probably one of my most played games, and it was just a demo with 4 characters and 4 maps. By the time I bought the actual game it was mostly dead.

No, quite the opposite actually. The solder isn't to blame as you don't fix those consoles by reflowing/reballing, you fix them by heating the GPU. Get a hot air gun and heat the board to ~150°C (way below the melting point of solder). Surprisingly, it actually fixes the issue without affecting the solder in any way.

I'm replaying Jet Set Radio Future for the first time in around a decade and I'm so fucking disappointed.
It was my first game in the series and I absolutely loved it. I just hadn't had the opportunity to play it because my Xbox got stolen and the JSRF disc was scratched to shit.
I only played the first Jet Set Radio properly when the HD version came out. I didn't really enjoy Jet Set Radio at first but as I got the hang of the momentum, graffiti inputs and learning the level layouts (especially discovering infinite grinds) I really started loving it. The more I played it, the more I adored it and appreciated all the little things that made it a fantastic arcade-style score chaser.
Fast forward to last week and I finally got a new copy of JSRF and an Xbox Hueg and Jet Set Radio Future is fucking empty. There's no tension, no challenge, nothing.
You just cruise through each level without any pressure and press a single button to tag the graffiti without anyone bothering you outside of the segmented instances of police intervention (that are easy as shit anyway). Occasionally you'll get relief in the form of a race or tag battle but even that's tainted by how easy the enemy AI is.
And that's just the problems as a standalone game. Compared to JSR, there's even more shit that it did wrong.
JSRF made some improvements (especially in terms of collision detection, holy fuck JSR had some shitty collision detection at times) but it's an empty experience.
Jet Set Radio is a rough gem that offers a consistent challenge and rewards those who replay it.
Jet Set Radio Future is very polished casual stroll with replay value. It's all style, no substance.
