I stopped asking my brother and my dad to play games with me thanks to this game. I got 2 gud and most play sessions ended with one or both of them being unhappy or downright angry, so I stopped asking them to play because they just couldn't have fun if I was also in the game.
Being good at games hurt my childhood.

Who didn't? Were it not for the framerate issues in 3-4 player multi, it would be absolutely unquestionably the best kart racer of its generation, and a strong contender for best kart racer of all time.
I just want a remake that looks and plays the same, but fixes performance issues and has online, and maybe some new tracks/battle arenas if we're feeling dangerous.

I'm actually not the hugest fan of the 1st game. Then again, I played it ages ago when I borrowed it from a friend and don't really remember much of it.

3 is my favorite of the trilogy.

But you're right, 1 is a medicore platformer that does nothing to differentiate itself from other platformers and 2 is just a mess with too much angst to handle
3 is a balance between the firsts light-heartedness and 2's darker tone

I have come to a point I have become too accostumized to X's control scheme and I literally beat X4 in the first try with little less than 2 deaths at Sigma
So X6's "cheap" level design actually gave me a challenge
