EA themselves treated it like an afterthought. They put a team that had zero experience at make games, on it. They then pulled all the talent from that team to work on another game. The lead of Andromeda quit midway through development. The entire vision of the game was scrapped at the last second. They then just slapped the game together in a little over a year.
Meanwhile they are treating Anthem like their new golden goose.

Read Kotaku's article about the mismanaging of Andromeda. The gist is they put the team who made the multiplayer component of ME3 as the lead of ME4. They also worked on RNG for planets before making planets by hand, they were to be 30 or something before they cut them down to what you get in the final game. The animators had people who quit so there were only 2-3 working. Understaffed, low morale, etc.

I would give it a shot if I could romance the Irish/Scottish chick but she's lesbian only. Yeah, I don't get it either. ME Andromeda fits nicely in that 6/10 category. Not technically unplayable, but not even good enough to be average at 7 or 8. It's just "there".
