Hi, I single-handedly ruined the MMO genre.

Almost every mmorpg running today would not exist if not for wow.

>look mom! I can zalgo text
fuck off retard.
>>382267258
>implying MMOs were ever good
nah.
>>382267430
Good, maybe we would actually have a decent MMO like the ones pre-WoW instead of another 100000000000000th generic shitty korean WoW clone that makes money off of 40 year old neckbeards who spend money on it because it has a loli character in it
>>382267258
SWG was the only good mmo.
Shit was way ahead of its time.

Sorry just trying to bump a shitty thread that gets posted on an almost daily basis. Let the same generic replies commence.
Hi, I'm social media circa 2008. I made MMORPGs redundant, so they tried to become action games with a lot of solo play rather than slow paced RPGs with a focus on player interaction.
>>382267430
we'd probably have better ones instead of copycats.
I mean look at Asheron's Call. came out in 1999 and only just shutdown this year. long before WoW.
how much is everquest to blame?
>>382268215
well everquest is the game that directly inspired wow, wow just polished and marketed it to hell and got huge success, this success caused a huge industry problem where devs would only clone wow to make a quick cash grab, the innovation in the mmo field has been stifled badly since..
>>382267430
>wowtards actually believe this
MMO genre dying is probably the best thing to happen to it at this point as it'll flush out the wowclone fanbase and maybe then the genre can innovate or at least not regress back 10 years and turn every game into a shitty version of phatasy star dungeon grinding.
