Good platforming, great art and backgrounds, great soundtrack. The extra features from the definitive edition are fun, and the primary movement mechanic makes you feel lightning fast.
It's a good purchase.

The gameplay is solid, but everything else (music, art, etc) is almost perfect

I didn't like it.

A game that made me set my own checkpoints just made me frustrated at myself for not setting a checkpoint before platforming. That element of gameplay turned me off and I never looked back.

Looked neat though.
