This. I can level with people who like the music, multiplayer and maybe story. But the level design was outright abysmal.

Its a fucking problem when I'm playing a game, and allegedly progressing even though I've passed through this EXACT SAME LAYOUT 5+ times over in the span of two minutes.

It had some cool bits, the final run on the jeep is fine, a fit ending. Some stages, like the bridge one, with all the flying fucks. The plot goes on smoothly enough.
I can't stand architecture, buidlings are ugly. All vehicle parts are cancerous, maps feel like huge runways but the detail is few so it feels empty.
And the building where you first meet the flood is shit, the bit i cited before, where you have to climb at least 5 huge identical floors with almost never ending spam of tiny fucks. Happy now, or i have to upload a gameplay on youtube?

I installed this today on my PC as I just finished replaying half life series.

Only played halo games post 3, what should I expect? I'm expecting a downgrade in terms of gameplay/ graphics from HL1, but from what I've seen of the series, the music and story will be good.

the story isn't amazing but it'll keep you interested. i personally loved the story myself though. the graphics are better than HL1, maybe worse than HL2, but aged pretty alright. and the gameplay is probably my favorite, but i've only played up to reach
