By the third skill, Waver has an attack buff, defense buff, and crit damage up buff, that also gives 50% meter. Grab a friends Waver on top of that, and you have double the buffs, and also an on demand 100% meter. Let's say the anchor of that team is Heracles, and he basically stomps the shit out of everything.

The ones you like. The game isn't esports like some mobage, you don't ever need highest rarity, it just helps. But if you're looking to beat the system with the initial roll, Waver, also called Zhuge Liang is still S tier in the JP version, which is 2 years ahead. The others have suffered from powercreep or the meta shifting out of their playstyle favor, but if you get any of them they will still get you by just fine. I got Artoria on my rerolls on JP launch, and despite her low tier rating, she still put in plenty of work for me.

Also a 4* pick ticket type thing is coming soon, so if you want a tutorial 4* servant, just wait for that.

5* Zhuge Liang/Waver and 4* Herc are the two that are good now and will still be amazing 2 years down the line so make sure you get those, you get a free 4* pick at some point in the next couple weeks as part of a promo so you can grab Herc through that if you like.
Also don't listen to the idiots telling you to just use the cutest characters, a lot of the story is infact pretty easy, but there is still later story bosses and the superbosses during events that will push your shit in if you aren't min/maxing. Playing with whoever you find cute is fine, but neglecting powerlevels entirely is shooting yourself in the foot.
