I tried out Goat Sim and Spacechem, but I refunded them because I didn't enjoy them much. But I decided to keep POSTAL 2, Portal 2 and BattleBlock Theater and I'm having lots of fun with those.
>>
>>382255632
hollow knight, darkest dungeon's dlc and oxygen not included. I might refund the latter because dead cells looks really good and I don't want to spend that much.
>>
I haven't bought anything because I'm a cheap ass bastard and none of the games I really want are discounted enough for me.

Picked this up. Considering grabbing Hollow Knight. I've played about half of it already on the release patch which has stuttering problems and still love the game so far. Probably worth owning.
>>
>>382256319
what's the game about? is it like metro 2033?
>>
>>382256403
Just pick it up. You'll see.

I know it's summer but that's no reason to start posting
>>
>>382256547
welp, I'll give it a shot since it's that cheap.
>>382256641
i've read about it but it's always mixed opinions. some say it's really good and others call it a meme.
>>
>>382256641
Metro was on e3, otherwise they wouldn't know about it either.
>>
>>382256403
It's what Metro would be like it it wasn't good at all.
>>
>>382256641
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is ten years old, you can't really expect all the kids on here to be familiar with it.
>>
>>382256983
Actually the other way around, so much so that the new metro is looking like it's going back to the stalker freedom roots
>>
So far bought
Ori and the blind forest
Steins;Gate
Inside

I have only tried Ori yet but that game is fucking amazing. Love the artstyle and the music, and the gameplay is great.
>>
Hand of Fate
Block Hood
Emporium
Super Hot
Waste of Money
>>
Chroma Squad. It lived up to my expectations.
>>
Bought The Following expack and Fallout 4, refunded Fallout 4 after 2 hours. The Following is pretty good, certainly feels a lot harder than the base game.

On the fence about buying Strafe, since I'd love some more FPSes that could run on my old laptop, but it has no Linux support.
>>
>>382257710
> I'd love some more FPSes that could run on my old laptop
CS 1.6 and CSS, man.
>>
>>382257823

I have both and have played them for an ungodly amount of hours. Hell, I even sometimes boot up Condition Zero if I want some CS without other people involved (or just want to fuck around with the riot shield).
>>
>>382257710
shouldn't have gotten FO4 in the first place
>>
Bought:

Paradigm
MGS Rising
Xcom 2
Oxenfree
Hollow Knight
Dead Cells

Might get 1-2 more, or just gift some friends pathologic (:

So far i've only played Hollow Knight and I love it (3h in).
>>
>>382257710

Are you talking about the expansion to Dying Light, because I can't find a game by that name. If so how is it?
I liked the base game, but never got too far. Might try it again if it's greatly improved.
>>
>>382255632
Hyperlight drifter- can't understand symbols, not my game

Transistor - boring

This war of mine - can't see text on tv.

Plague Inc. Evolved- beat it four times within 2 hours refunded.

Undertale- too weird.

There is to much selection it's hard to find decent non flash/retro schlock.
>>
>>382258468

Yup. It's a bit less vertical than the base game (since it's the countryside), but the vehicle mechanics are kinda neat and the missions feel a little less fetchy. If you liked the base game, it's a decent deal for $8.
>>
>>382258763
hyperlight drifter is "wallhump, the game". everyone said it was hard, but i thought it was too easy.
art style didnt do it for me.
soundtrack was shit.
its ambiguous narrative made me not give any fucks.
>>
>>382258010
Neo Tokyo
EYE
>>
>>382259171
Is EYE really that good?
>>
>>382258763
>Transistor - boring
You know, you don't have to wait until the pause/plan screen recharges to engage in meaningful combat. Throw dash and charm (whatever they're called) on the splash bomb and you can spam it while you're recharging for effective and engaging crowd control. There are plenty of options if you aren't an uncreative wanker.
>>
Bully
>>
>>382255632

Steins Gate or whatever, will probably refund it
>>
Buy Earth Defense Force 4.1 to be quite honest family members.

I'd never heard of it but the discounts on my wishlist were all horse shit so I figured I'd give it a go on a whim and refund it after 2 hours when I was tired of the gimmick. I've since put in about 15 hours and only playing with the bog standard boring class. It's just pure videogame joy.
>>
Anyone know much about World's Adrift? It seems neat.
>>
>>382258123
Can I be your friend and get pathologic?
>>
DOOM.
Almost finished it by now.
>>
>>382260870
I'm pretty sure that you're talking about the new game. Is it cool?
>>
Nothing
>>
>>382260994
I like it. It's pretty fast, has cool level design and a huge variety of weapons and crap.
Definitely head and shoulders above most modern shooters. Falls short to nostalgia of course.
>>
Dead Rising 1
Dont Starve 1
HL BLUE and Opposing Force (never played them, loved HL1, they were 99 cents each
Sword and Sauce because it looks like pretty cool and only $2.99

Did i do good?

I havent bought anything for 3 years during the summer sales so i needed to break the seal

It's a lot of fun and has a nice style, 64 oninle multiplayer and goes to 4K, Do not do s stealth build as your first play through
>>
Had to refund Renowned Explorers. Loved the game's style but not in the mood for turn-based combat, bought Rabi Ribi instead and enjoying it so far.
Maybe another time for RE.
>>
I got Hollow Knight, Nier, and Under Night In-Birth. I would get more, but Nier was 40 bucks, and I didn't want to spend more since I bought Titanfall 2 days prior. All of them are really great games, I'm happy Nier even went to the price it did.
>>
I bought Dark Souls 3 + Rise of the Tomb Raider

45 euros left in my steam wallet, which games should I buy?
>>
XCom 2, I played it and beat it and enjoyed it.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided, I'm enjoy it a lot less.

Divinity 2 Developers cut I haven't played much, It's pretty janky but might be enjoyable.

I considering Portal 2, System Shock 2 and Mortal Kombat X. The steam reviews seem to say MKX runs poorly on pc so I'm not sure I'll get it.
>>
>>382264571

Portal 2 is pretty mediocre compared to the first one but the co-op and user-made levels are neat, SS2 is a classic that you should play, MKX is pretty much dead on PC and is easily the most resource-hogging fighting game I've seen to date.
>>

It seems strange to me that so many people here don't own the Valve Complete Pack when it costs basically nothing every sale.
>>
>>382267767

It hasn't been all that cheap until they started doing that price-lowering for people who own pieces of packs. I looked at the Valve Complete, and the only things I don't already have from it are the HL2 episodes, HL Source (which was shit) and L4D1 (who's content is already in L4D2). I could buy all that for about $3, but I'd probably never play those.

Full disclosure, I already had L4D1 on the 360 and got my fill of it.

>>
>>382268601

Don't bother with the Division, it's dull as shit and the PvP is more rife with cheaters than CSGO.

If you want a good stealth game, HITMAN is pretty good, or get Aragami. I also recommend Wasteland 2 if you want an RPG with decent combat.

Okay, just for you guys, I decided to go over the time limit and 100%ed Event[0].

Neat premise, but too short to really explore its potential and has very little replay value. The story itself is just okay. Also the start has a somewhat hamhanded implementation of Choose Your Own Backstory.

Absolutely overpriced even on sale, Pirate/10. You guys have helped me out a lot in the past, so I don't feel too bad about this loss.

Woah, you people are so easy with your money. I have like 500 games in my collection, yet i don't get even a slightest idea to spend money on all that no name trash you buy. Even fairly popular games seem to expensive for me. Ain't gonna waste more than a few bucks for a game. 1 dollar for a good indie, 5 dollars for AA, and 20 bucks tops for AAA (with all possible expansions and shit bundled).

Silent Storm and Sleeping Dogs are nice. I would pick Grim Dawn over Titan Quest. Not a huge fan of the genre but i play them with friends and we enjoyed Grim Dawn more. Titan Quest have a really slow pacing and perhaps it get better later on but i got sick of killing satyrs after a while.
>>
>>382271426
get commandos 2 and get yourself an popsicle for the rest

I want a fun singleplayer RTS.

Should I get AoE2 HD, Age of Mythology, or Rise of Nations?
>>
Got Owlboy. Was pretty short and easy but I really liked the world and artstyle.
I had fun
>>
>>382272102
AOE2 and AOM are both good, pick whichever theme appeals to you more. Haven't played rise
>>
How is Fallout 4 as a shooter? Gameplay-wise, will I have fun if I ignore how much better NV was?
>>
Planet Coaster is way more fun than I expected, and I expected it to be really fun. It was the priciest thing in my cart, but the only one I've put more than a few hours into. I wouldn't be surprised if it made it into my most played

Question: I have Thief Gold, Thief 2, and Thief: Deadly Shadows in my cart. Each game is like $1.50. Should I get them on Steam now or wait for another sale on Gog to get them?

Steam's cheap now, but old games are usually sold as-is, GoG at least has everything patched and ready to play on modern systems right off the bat.

Buy 3.

Hollow knight - excellent
Hyper light drifter - refunded

For someone who really loved the old tony hawks, is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater® HD any good?
It seems people say it's shit as fuck, but seeing the gameplay and screenshots, doesn't look like shit to me
>>
>>382278515

It's pretty shit. It feels like some weird facelift on 2 where it's the same physics (with ragdolls for some reason) and the animations feel incongruous with where your board is. Not only that, but there's no local multiplayer, the soundtrack is mostly new stuff, and they chose a bunch of shit parks when they had the opportunity to use good ones.

That's also not including the fact that the revert is DLC.
>>
>>382278818

Always wait for gog for older games.
I wanted to get Gothic which was very cheap in some steam bundle a year ago but I knew I'd just get what I already have on CD. Waiting for the gog release wasn't a mistake.
Never buy older games on steam. It's always better to either pirate the gog version or buy it from them.
