Summons make him more difficult.
Just equip a good lightning weapon (like the LKGS) and wait for him to lower his head. Get one or two hits in. Back off and repeat.

If you still need help, my summon sign is behind the ladders that lead to his room, in that little area with nothing in it, i'll look like lion knight Albert.

I had to solo Midir at SL 120 on a primarily dex build and it was a fucking nightmare. I ended up having to use the overpowered Blessed Exile Greatsword and it still took me roughly 4 hours of constant trying

Do it yourself. You're cheating yourself out of the experience by summoning.

If it's any help I beat him with overhead R1s from Fume GS while fast rolling. It might seem noobish, but with all that hitbox you're bound to hit something if you just keep under him and don't get greedy.

Idk About that. I think Manus was harder but that definitely doesn't make him better, Midir is the most fun I've had since Capra Demon and Blighttown. Every game should feature a Midir.

No I believe that for this particular boss beating him yourself is something to genuinely be proud of. Im glad I didn't summon. Initially I gave up but came back a few days later ready to lick some dragon ass and fucked him up.

Just summoned someone for PS4, his name was like tuv-tuvtuvtuvtuv, and he probably could have solo'd the boss at 5x health. He's roughly around your SL.
