Why do women need their own e-sports leagues?

It's actually a decent way to promote and improve that audience and skillset to a group of people who wouldn't normally be interested in esports. Tekken in Korea is a great example of it being done well, but it's often done poorly or as a marketing stunt elsewhere.

mentally inferior to men, not just physically inferior

they are ego maniacs
they want people to pay attention and take pictures of them
Women in general cannot be trusted

Correct.
>>
Because they would get destroyed just like in real sports

We don't.

>that audience
Excuse me? Women make up MORE than 50% of gamers and the idea of female ONLY esports leagues is extremely belittling and misogynistic. Its 2017! There is NO reason women can't be in the same leagues as men and kick their asses at "their" sad little hobby.

mobile phone trash does not count as 'games'
>>

Yeah, which is what Tekken does. It has them face off against other women in qualifiers, then go to the main event where members from other qualifiers participate too.
I know you're trolling, but still.

>Most people who play games that are esports are male
>Most people who play those games at a competitive level are male
>With a smaller pool of players, you're less likely to find world class players
>Female players are more likely to watch tournaments and try to compete if they see other females doing it
>All female leagues are the only way to get enough female players on stream to potentially make a difference
It's pretty much all about getting more people to watch twitch streams, and buy the games. This goes double for games like Overwatch, because female players typically are used to spending tons of money on cosmetic DLC, as most female players play primarily on phone.
