Dragons are XIV's ultimate shitter checks. Vishap curbstomped baddies so hard at the end of 2.5 that he had to get nerfed into oblivion. Nidhogg at the final steps of faith was an absolute salt mine for the first month or so. Now we have Shinryu just getting in that ass and stopping people from clearing the MSQ. Even Turn 13 only lasted just over 2 months before it got the Echo and had some adds removed from Gigaflare.

This community just can not handle dragons. Think back to the early days of ARR. Remember which dungeon was the very first roadblock for bad players? Brayflox Longstop. Remember the final boss of Brayflox? Exactly.

What do you think the patch trials are going to be? 2.x added a bunch of old faves, 3.x added a group from one game. Will they be themed again or just random? Baked into the MSQ or optional?

I had a lot of fun so far. I don't know if it's that good though. It's a lot of the same old stuff. Quests are still bland as fuck. I also feel like the story was super short given everything that we needed to do. Fail at taking back ala mhigo, go across the ocean, reclaim doma, then head back, all by 70? Ala Migho should've been the final dungeon with Zenos as the final boss. Patches should have been us establishing ourselves and rising up in Doma. I think it should, but the way they used it is awful and out of place like they just shoved it in because they had to and not because the song was written around it. The motif had been used too much up to that point, like half the fucking OST is that motif, I was tired of it by Shinryu and it didn't feel epic the way the Heavensward theme does for Thordan.
