This one is sort of a FPS take on 2hu. You control Sakuya dodging and firing knifes at enemy bullets, fairies and Meiling. Z to Za Warudo.

flash has no support because unity can do the same thing and isnt using action script (after as2 action script is basically java ew java) so you can use C# meh instead of java shit code

you can scale, tween and root sprites to each other in a parent hierarchy to make a armature and swap sprites in a animation time line in unity. by setting a key frame at a point in the time line it makes animating through tweening easier

flash kinda got left behind. while i hate games made in unity if im buying because no real modding support well its easy to use and if im making something i would rather use unity free version than a cracked flash since the government has gone full on secret police and issued bills for pirated software. you seen how much adobe thinks their shit is worth?

EBF3 is completely free and always has been.
EBF4 still has a version that's free, but there are paid elements to it. I love the guy who makes these games so I bought it. It's only really worth it on sale, though. All the spinoffs are pretty fun, too.

The transition to an actual RPG carried its share of problems, but at least you could break the 9999 limit near the end. Akron's theme was also fantastic.

4 just rubbed me the wrong way, as a lot of items for complex builds were quite literally behind a paywall, not to mention the endgame's balance was completely fucked and was all about getting as high as possible, to the point where gaining even a single level would result in like 1K health and damage later on. Even on epic, all you needed to do was gain like 1 or 2 levels outside of your current scaling and you'd be set to completely assrape whatever boss was in front of you.

Does anybody remember a point and click game that takes place in a hospital? If you went into the elevator too soon a ghost would kill you.

I have most of my memories with EBF3, as it was the first game I played in the series. I still need to give 1 and 2 a thorough checkout.

I'm playing through EBF4 now (the paid version), and I can't attest to those problems. As I'm playing through it, I always have this nagging feeling that no matter what kind of builds I make, it's unoptimized as fuck since there's so many equips, flairs, and skills out there, and so many buffs, debuffs, and status effects that you're kind of lost. This could just be me, though.

At least the game's music doesn't suffer (although I feel like EBF3 has more memorable tracks on the whole):

EBF1 was fine, and perfectly balanced behind an Epic difficulty playthrough, with the SINGULAR exception of the final boss, Zombie Goku, who if he uses Spirit bomb 3 times in a row (which he can do) you will 100% die no matter what you do. I've yet to beat him because of that reason.

EBF 2 is in my opinion, the best game in the series, as it introduced the "Upgrade as you play" system which has since been dropped for 3 and 4.

The long and short of it is that you get the ability to upgrade certain abilities, items, or stats on a character based on what you do with them. For instance, if you keep making Nats use MP potions, she can eventually level up to learn "MP potions restore 300+150 MP" for example. Or if you make keep using Protect while having the Stone Sword Equip, you can learn "Meat Shield" Which reduces all physical damage taken by 15%.

You basically start off really comfy near the beginning of the game, then build your character tailored to a very specific style of play, be it defense, offense, status effects, magic, or physical. It was COMPLETELY dropped in 3 and 4 and I'm still mad.

Agreed completely. Akron was a cunt because of the game's level 30 max level cap. Unless you went out of your way to find EVERY SINGLE stat-up in the game, you had to build very specifically to not get instafucked by Akron.

100% Death resistance was ABSOLUTELY required, and at least 50% dark resistance was also required, but he would also blind, poison, and attack with fire and physical attacks. He was quite a fucking monster, and a very well designed final boss.

4's final boss was a damned cakewalk compared to him, since your level had no hardcap, and nothing he did had any considerable threat to it. Almost all of Akron's abilities would debuff you, instantly kill you, or apply a status effect. CatGod just lacked any major debilitating mechanics.

If you play 2, consider one of two major strategies.

Meat Tank Matt: Stone Sword/Blood Sword, and focus on defensive moves, and either Quake/Drain. This will allow Natz to not have to heal as much, and make the endgame more tolerable. Matt's main damage would come from Quake, which fortunately the final boss is weak to, and the ability to survive damage that would otherwise 1shot any other spec.

Magic Matt: A mix of Razorback and Rune Blade, focus on Power Metal and Screamer, this will allow Natz to be a more effective mage, things like Lucky Star or Judgement able to hit for literally tens of thousands, while Matt is capable of healing with Power Metal. Matt's main damage would come from Air Strike, especially once you spec into it to drop nukes instead of bombs.
