Unless you're being facetious, that does not answer his question. Star Fox (SNES) was 3D, but it was sluggish as shit and really doesn't hold up at all. All it really has going for it is "traditional" rail shooter gameplay; Star Fox 2 ditches that for pseudo-strategy and entirely all-range challenges, where you are just shooting down targets each time. It was literally Command gameplay, made by the same lead guys, and people see hard bent on refusing to admit it.

In Star Foxes case, it has to change because the type of gameplay Star Fox uses has been dead for over a decade with literally no means of saving it. Regardless, bitching over Fox and crew not flying every now and then is beyond autistic.

I read a few old articles about this sort of thing and I find it pathetic how passive it all comes off, from literal manchildren who're probably in their 30s at the time. You don't seem to understand that the people that wanted Star Fox 64 already had it, and the novelty of a portable version isn't something that they'll drop $40+ on, as it is indeed 20 years old. Lylat Wars wasn't known for selling gangbusters, and the series was never that popular in Japan, so again it boggles the mind that Nintendo of America insists the game is worthy of $40 for a digital rental license tied to the hardware.

As far as Zero, everyone that watched the E3 and other presentations knew it was gonna be shit due to how much motion controls and forced gamepad usage it had, as opposed to being the Platinum created Star Fox game it should have been. Arwings have carried the worst games in the series, not this "Fox! Trust your instincts and your Wii U gamepad!" to deal with Andross and his forces.

The series didn't need a third or fourth reboot to tell the same story, now with completely lackluster "General Pepper has a dark secret!" to act as backup plot. It just needs a solid entry with fast Arwing gameplay that is comparable to the assault on Venom in Zero, where you actually have to use the breaks due to how fast the action gets, since it was the only time since Assault that it felt like the player is in control of an advanced military space craft that can handle an army on its own.

Fucking yes on the graphics, Mission 1 from Assault is a perfect example. Just play Assault's Mission 1 and compare it to Zero's Sector Beta. Both stages select a war in space. Go figure which one did it better.

The gameplay is cool too, with exception of the running levels. I thought the Arwing levels in this game we're the best in the series. Even if there were only three Arwing stages.
