It's a very bland series with east combat and discourages grinding or anything other than backtracking and speaking to every single npc every time a story event happens so you don't miss anything.

The games are absurdly long and wear out their welcome very quickly. They have a small fan base that mostly keeps to themselves (because everybody else points out how incredibly boring the games are).

Falcom is notorious for not talking about upcoming projects, even with their partners. So Aksys announces that they're doing the Vita Tokyo Xanadu and also releasing a PC version based on that. Then like 2 days later Falcom announces the PS4 version with extra content. Then radio silence from Aksys and finally a bit later they also announce the PS4 version, and now the PC version will be based on the PS4 version.

Had they waited they probably wouldn't have localized the Vita version at all.

I'm hoping that it can be undubbed. Considering that the files are readily available from the PS3/Vita versions, it mostly depends on the file format.

They most likely would have. They had an LE prepared for it and everything, which isn't something you can do without at least a few months of prep before the announcement according to NISA's twitter rep.
