Favorite in the series, if only it had the combat of 3/4/5 then it would be fucking god tier

Ok, not good but not bad either. It's the weakest of the entire persona series, but it's still a game worth playing if you're into SMT

I love it.

The story is great and there's some cool ideas in its systems, but ultimately as a game I find P1 more enjoyable due to it having a generally faster gameflow.

If you don't mind the PSP version having small censorship (which is quite funny though), I'd say that you should give it a go, since you can also choose to switch to the PSX soundtrack. The only problem it has is that animations/loading times take more time than the PSX version.

As for If... supposedly the patch is ready, but Gideon Zhi is having troubles finding people to beta-test it, and since he's kinda picky with these things (And since If... is fucking brutal in a few points) I'd say that there's still a long time before the patch comes out. Last Bible 3 is almost ready though.

I'm playing the PSP version right now and enjoying it so far even though I haven't gotten to an actual battle just yet. Would the PSX version be better in anyway? I don't really care if the only difference is graphical but I wouldn't want to miss cut content if it exists.

I really don't like it. It has cool concepts and all that, but seriously, fuck that shitty gameplay and encounter rate, everything about it felt like some of the worst of the entire MegaTen series.

Your SP regens too fast to the point it may as well be infinite, you get stronger by spamming skills, combination attacks are broken strong so you may as well just have an autobattle set with them and spam the shit out of it ending every battle way too quick, getting free persona level ups, and not caring about the SP cost because it'll be full next battle, getting new persona was a grind that was barely worth a shit.

Only played the original version of Innocent Sin.

Interesting concept and story.

SHIT combat, SHIT dungeons, SHIT encounter rate to the point of making the game deeply frustrating and unenjoyable

It's a shame because you can see the game had a lot of care and thought put into it and was obviously meant to be something much greater than it ended up being. They just forgot to make it fun. It's a bit like The Last Guardian in this way.

Interesting story but boring as fuck gameplay even when using an emulator with fast forward
