Found all these games in an old CD case awhile back. I tried them all out.

School Tycoon is the only one worth playing. Fun game, but it's easy to fail, and the janitor AI is horrendous.

Mall Tycoon 2 is hard to understand and in Mall Tycoon 3 it's almost impossible to build a successful mall.

Didn't try Deep Sea for too long, but for the time I played it, it sucked.

I don't even remember what it was called. It was an RPG about being a criminal in a modern city. The UI was set up something like Corruption of Champions, mostly text and menus with a few pictures, even though it was years before CoC existed. You could buy guns, vehicles to get you around, hire gang members, roam around the city doing various crimes. Can't remember what sort, because I always went straight to robbing a bank, which usually ended when the paint bomb in the cash bag exploded and ruined the haul. Or the cops would get lucky and kill you before you got halfway down the street.

It came from a USB stick my dad had, I think. I'm pretty sure he had pirated it but considering how basic and no-name it was, maybe he got it from some obscure website instead.

If I recall correctly, the game ran in real time and did 30 second intervals or something other interval and then you issued your orders. At the start of a game, you could place your units in your starting area and then you had some objective to fulfill.

Typically you had view of the map but enemy units were not shown unless you had eyes or ears on them. (or playing on easy) If you could hear something, it would place a unit marker where the sound was and would scale it based on size. Cars had little boxes while tanks had big ones.


You also had to manage chain of command to some degree, units wouldn't know your orders unless an officer was shouting them out or giving them over radio, (unless you were playing on easier difficulties).

I really liked it and should go look for it so I can see how well it aged.
