Theres really no half decent competition the RCT series.

Also, am I think only one that after making my park somewhat successful, I get bored, block the exit and turn all the rides into death traps?

I'd say the vast majority either hate it or can tolerate it. RCT3 was made by different people, and it clearly shows. The only thing people seem to like is the 3D aspect and being able to really get close to the rides, but even then you have to have a pretty good rig going because of how sluggish things get when the crowds pick up.

RCT2 for nostalgia. Planet Coaster is by far the best theme park game since RCT2 though. They're actually updating it and adding content consistently.

2 actually kinda sucked desu. The scenarios were flat and/or boring and the expansions were outsourced crap with much of the same problems. What makes 2 so special is that it has most of the same gameplay mechanics as 1 but it has bigger limits on everything, more rides, a scenario editor, plus it fixed some of the more annoying parts of the game.

PC is all show and no management. You have great visuals and creators but it's piss easy to make money. They still have to actually make it so that rides break down and security is still confusing and slightly pointless.
