You're saying PS4 is kinda good on its own but some people don't like it (tomato), but a lot of people can like it if utilised coorectly e.g. tomato ketchup. It can be a success only when put with a lot of other stuff (stew, ketchup, burger)

Xbox is widely liked, but in it's normal form it is unnatractive and ugly. But it can be used to make a lot of good shit, and people only want it because it can be a lot of "potential" goodness e.g potatoes turn into chips, mash, jacket potato or halo and its exclusives. It is an easy platform and good for you

Wii U is basically tasteless on its own, like potato and tomato. It really can't be made into anything else like XBOX, nor does it have a definitel taste like ps4. It is a very popular additive. It's always added as a salad, because its crispy and healthy. It only adds to what already exists and basically would never be used on its own e.g. lettuce only with burger or in salad.

I think you over analyzed it a bit. I could be wrong though. To me it symbolizes that ps4 and Xbox always get compared even though they are different. ie potato pototo tomato tomoto. Wii U is just left out of the conversation completely. Nobody ever compares lettuce to anything.
