Because the PC ports die and have the same few thousand people playing them moving from one to another, you literally can't find people in advanced warfareo n PC anymore, almost 100% of them moved on to blops3, then a good chunk of those players moved to infinite warfare (then back to blops 3).

PC gamers don't like that stupid p2p crap with awful matchmaking and no mod tools.
BO3 tried to add in a server browser with dedicated servers and mod tools, but unfortunately for them this was over a year after release and everyone had already moved on and stopped caring.

I'd guess it's fatigue. If they just updated MW over and over again, it'd have more concurrent players than all cod games out now.

Having said that, I just bought Bops 3 and really hope there are enough players for some zombie games.

You'd be wrong, it's because the games went from being PC-centric with typical PC features (mod tools, dedicated community servers, console commands, custom map tools, etc.) to being console-centric with DLC that fractures the community, loot drops, p2p shit, and awful matchmaking.
The only AAA game with the right philosophy towards DLC is Titanfall.

This was mainly because Activision absolutely didn't like the idea of both things interfering with their profits from dlc to add content. Treyarch still managed to get both in by striking a deal to add those after support for bo3 has been dropped and iw became the new game.

Its sad but this is the best we'll get. It's the same publisher that resells old maps as dlc in a remaster, forces you to pay 90usd for the bundle and add p2w microtransactions in a 10 years old game.

I hate Call of Duty on PC. No where to play vanilla anymore, just retarded 64 player death matches the maps weren't designed for.
