Time to try this again:
In an RPG, which inventory system do you prefer?

Is inventory management even fun, or should it just be abandoned all together?
Don't forget stuff like
>"You are too overloaded to move!"
Inventory Tetris is best

Fucking casuals, all of ya. Weighty Tetris a best.
>>382121494
With or without sorting though?
Lots of games provide autosorting, but doesn't that kinda ruin the purpose of it?
>>382121494
Tetris with weight my friend.
>>382121581
I haven't played any inventory Tetris games with auto sorting, what games do this?
Stalker was a great game, I like tetris with weight.

Stalker and Titan Quest jump to mind.
3D inventory tetris with weight
>people actually prefer weight over slot based
>>382121648
Arx Fatalis did when you double clicked the backpack icon.
It's pretty useful but then again it kinda defeats the purpose of having tetris in the first place.

What about "immersive" inventories like Alone in the Dark?
Being able to sling your backpack on the ground and actually peer into it to see your inventory would be cool but perhaps a bit clunky.
Secret Best is EVE Online. Auto sorting with max space and wight in your hangar in any station, limited weight in cargo holds and player built structures (that aren't stations) AND items have fixed locations and must be carried from place to place rather than magicked around via mailboxes or auction houses.

This is a fucking mystery to me as well.
Weight Only is probably the most annoying shit ever.

ZombiU did just that, and even put all inventory management -related things on the Tablet's screen.
Weight based inventory is the cancer upon vidya. Fuck encumbrance.
