Chrom's Musou!Aether looks more like the one he uses against Lucina in their Ferox duel, where he sweeps up and then somersaults on the way down, which is the inverse of Ike's.

The other time Chrom uses Aether outside of his game, in PxZ 2, he performs it as a ground attack rather than a vertical jump strike, by cleaving upwards and then slicing through the enemy, like he does in Awakening.

I mean, there's a lot of animation incest between Chrom and Ike. One of Chrom's crit animations, where he dashes through the enemy, is derived from Ike's, and Fates Ike uses Chrom's leaping sword plant as one of his killing animations.

Tell me that's not Ike's version of Aether without the luna backflip uppercut. Chrom's sonic the hedgehog homing attack / Psuedo Aether is still in Warriors as part of the moveset a little bit into the Xander fight too.

He's literally Ike Lite in warriors.

What confuses me is that Ike's Aether came from his father's sword fighting style and the base conversation in PoR mentions this with Stefan polishing Ike's style and gives him the occult scroll. Even Tellius Recollection mentions this. Why would Chrom even have this version?

Chrom knows of Ike even outside the outrealms since he reached Archanea/Valentia universe. Unless he taught somebody that, I still think it's not likely a guy could think of that weird ass attack. IS is shown to be capable of doing it with the Ike amiibo in Fates and they still only made him do it and not Lucina. I think this is just the Warriors team's mistake.

I really wanted to get this, loved hyrule warriors and dq heroes. Beyond the listed problems, gameplay has shown so far to be bland warriors shit. Also the 2 unique characters look fucking shit, why not just let people create a custom which would work both sine recent fe let you, and all the good warrior games do too.

Awakening is okay. It really is a love letter to the series despite being a mediocre game. Trying to shill Awakening content outside of Awakening is what's cancerous. It's so simple. You get the inflated fanbase, read the ones who almost didn't let the franchise die, to buy it. Then once they have it you throw out DLC for other worlds. Expect 7 and 9, wild cards for the rest to try and get everyone else. Believe it or not, 13 and 14 are more popular than others by a long shot. They may have individuals like 7 has Hector and Lyn, but that's almost all they have going for them. Even going by shit FEH poll, it's half characters from 13/14 for males and over half for females.
