Those graphics are way too colorful and un-Earthlike for Talos Principle. It's a nice looking game itself, but the areas are based on the look of real-world locations (literally; they went to Greece, England, and Egypt IIRC and took actual scans of the environment to use as in-game textures).

it's intentionally exaggerated to act as a meter for your counselor's "fear" level in game. Fear makes you easier for Jason to sense at a distance, and also makes you stumble when you run and high levels of fear make your entire UI disappear and all color washes out from the screen.

Why do people shit on Souls games graphics? Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne both look fucking gorgeous, DaS 1 still looks great today thanks to fantastic textures and art direction. DeS looked good at the time. DaS 2 is fucking ugly though and 3 is a bland mess.

That's the PC version with DSFix mod for high resolutions. Otherwise it's pretty muddy.

I know but even with poorer res it still looks the same just a bit blurrier and it didn't have any worse res than your average PS3/X360 game at the time. Besides, when talking about a games true graphical quality shouldn't it be measured based on the highest resolution it can commonly be played in? For example, Silent Hill 2, 3, and 4 all look fucking gorgeous with high resolutions.
