Skyrim remains the best RPG to date, Witcher 3 came close rivaling it but Skyrim will always be Skyrim, it's a classic.

Fallout 4 is pretty meh.

FO4 is fucking terrible, don't let the slightly more up to date graphics and shooting fool you, it's just bad. New Vegas is still the best FPS Fallout. Get Skyrim and waste 300 hours modding it, you will get much more satisfaction and have some fond memories.

fallout 4 has few interesting locations while skyrim has a lot of little things to find (wooden mask, transmutation) that are really satisfying to find more about
Modding skyrim properly makes it into one of best games out there in last decade.
