Tried it on 1.8b and it was nearly unbearable. Did they improve it that much? I'd love to finally play it. Is there a cracked 1.8.1 already? Afaik it's only available for patrons at the moment.

Is this game better than the first one? I played the first one a couple weeks ago and beat it on infinite climax and loved it. I immediately bought the second one but I just can't get into it. Bayonetta feels really floaty in this one. The combat wasn't in depth by any means in the first one but this one feels like it doesn't have any weight to it. I feel like I don't have to focus on combos in this one a lot too because the power gauge fills up quick. Once full, all I have to do is the hand weave thing and that's it.

Runs fine on 1.8.1B, hell, they even fixed that annoying audio crack that happens when you enter Witch Time.

Just make sure you have the proper shaders on deck and it should be buttery smooth.

Don't give me any console wars shitposting, recently the HDMI port of my Wii U died and I've been thinking about selling it after I send it to be fixed since. How well does Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade X emulate on a lower mid-range PC? That are the only games I care about anymore on my Wii U considering I recently hooked up my Wii for all kinds of homebrew.

The combat is a bit less complex than the first game but for some just playing through for fun it feels much better and the game has way better variety of locations and enemies. The art design is 100 times better, every character's design is vastly improved and there are actual colors now. Story is slightly improved solely because it's not "muh amnesia" but who gives a fuck.

It's better in some ways and worse in others. Overall it's a lot more polished with less super glaring flaws. I would also recommend to anyone who played the first to immediatley start on 3rd climax, as it's closer to normal from Bayo 1.

It's the first game with more stuff, two player mode, and less QTE instant kill cutscenes.

It's seriously just the exact same game again but way less memorable. Gameplay wise they removed all the annoying bits but because of that it's just the same bayonetta 1 gameplay everyone who isn't a hardcore nintendo fan got bored of back in 2011, only with a way worse story to break up the action and less memorable setpieces.

Witch time sound is fixed, the cutscenes sometimes bug out and desync the audio, but that's mostly it

Mostly random.
There's some graphical bugs with cutscenes that also happen randomly, but the gameplay itself has no bugs from what I've experienced so far.

I"m new to Cemu emulation what do graphic pacs do exactly? I have two titled bayonetta2_1080p and Bayonneta2_2160p, it looks it has something to do with the textures but I'm just wondering exactly what it does.

Fuck, got it working. Turns out I didn't have Visual C++ 2015 installed because when I tried that some time ago, windows wouldn't let me because 2017 was already installed, even though you need both and the order in which you install then should not really matter. Makes no sense but if you deinstall 2017 and then install 2015 and then 2017 again, it works.

No press ___ to not die QTEs, more responsive button mash QTEs, no kinship platforming, way better side vehicle segments (Umbran battle armor in 2 vs those ass rocket and motorbike sections in 1). Better weapons. And a generally the game just controls better.

Bayonetta 2 makes it hard to go back to 1.

The weird texture flickering is gone too? That honestly annoyed me more than the witch time ear rape, you could kinda bypass that by settign your cemu sound to just before 0 and then upping your windows audio settings a little bit
