I admit I was a dick as I took the coin from Emhyr, but the other choices seemed unfair

It's "good" for Geralt, but not the best for the world as a whole.
The best ending in my eyes is:

>Ciri becomes empress
>Geralt gets Yen
>Temaria autonomous within the Nilfgaard Empire
>Nilfgaard wins in general

Because while the Empire is the aggressor in the war, it's citizens have a MUCH higher quality of life than in the Northern Realms. Also: Witchers tend to die in a ditch killed by some monsters somewhere... this may happen to Ciri, too one day if she becomes one.

had i played the series since the first game and got this ending, i wouldve gone mad

The bad ending for the base game is the first time a bad ending really got to me. Depressing as shit.
