It's UFO Defense with tons of QoL improvements but not quite enough to fully replace OpenXCOM.

It's better than modern XCOM.

But, making a game set in the cold war and doing nothing with the setting is kinda lame.

It's harder than OG X-Com, but the tactical layer is not as fun because the tools you get are not as exciting. They've done balance changes since I played to help the player a bit though I think. Namely reducing the potency of psionic attacks a bit.

I really like it. The problem that i have with it is that though the combat is fun it will get repetitive and when you get a bunch of bases time is going to go really slow since you have to stop and fight all the time. How much new aliens will there be later on in the game btw?

I hated the art of the soldiers.
