Both communities are thoroughly terrible, but MOBA communities are easily the worst thing video games have ever spawned, and I say this as someone who has participated extensively in the cs 1.6 community back in the day. Those people will eat you sanity and your soul for breakfast.

I personally wouldn't get into this game if you dont have any friends to play with. I only play party matchmaking these days. Everyone in this game has a stick up in their arse, and that ruins solo matchmaking for me.
DotA is a great game but it's not very fun after everyone starts pointing every mistake other players make in the game. It's a team game after all and if you can't communicate with your teammates, what's the fucking point of playing this game?
