Admit it /v/, you are hyped.

Nah,
I doubt I can beat out the scalpers so I guess I'll just never play it.
>>
Nah

Only people excited are dog fondlers
>>
>>
>>382093203
Already played it.

It's good
>>
>>382093203
Didnt care about the first one, so no.
>>
hyped for that dump maybe
>>
I'm not going to waste my time and money on a game that wasn't good enough to be released 20 years ago.

Just because standards have gone down for games, doesn't make me hype for two decade left overs.
>>
>furry wing commander
not really but It would have been novel back in 94/95
>>
>>382093614
gr8 b8 m8 r8 8.8 time to masturb8 on a gr8 with my d8

It was cancelled because Nintendo wanted to focus on the N64 and a StarFox game for it.
>>
>>382093203
I'm hyped for the complete rom to get tossed on the internet. There will be 0 opportunity for me to get my hands on a SNES classic.
>>
>>382093203
hyped for when it eventually comes out on the Switch virtual console, whenever that is
>>
>>382093203

I just want to see if the "complete" version they are toting is just the same damn rom that is floating around. That will be hilarious, as Nintendo fans will not care because they can now buy it "legally"! The same pirated rom! I want this to go full circle.
>>
>>382093203
FUCK YEAH I AM
>>
>>382093203
>falling for the retro meme
It is time to let go.
>>
>>382093203
I'm hype for more cute fanart
Fucking finally
>>
But I already played it.
>>
>>382093203
what is this?
>>
>>382093203
could be cool but really sf64 is one of a kind
>>
>>382093203
I will be hyped when it is released on something other than SNES mini.
>>
The leaked rom seemed pretty boring really.
>>
I will be hyped when Nintendo finally allows the Dinosaur Planet ROM to be leaked.
>>
>>382093454
>there are retards that think they've actually played Star Fox 2
lol

Pirates sure are a collective group of retards, huh?
>>
>>382093203
Pls don't tell me you tards didn't play it years ago on emulator.
>>
>>382096631
This is a more complete version, less buggy.
>>
>>382096553
Pretty much everything that was finished besides Sabre's character and the overtly fantasy bullshit was just moved over to Star Fox Adventures as it was. It wasn't even half finished, for all the stuff they planned to include.
>>
>>382096553
>Nintendo makes Rareware gut their game and make a Star Fox game out of it
>Nintendo drops contact with Rareware
>Microsoft buys them
>Rareware gets kicked out the door the day after Adventures released
>Nintendo forever gloats by owning the rights to Krystal

>Miyamoto was so mad at baka gaijin westerners making better games than him that he killed a company
>Muh nippon pride
>>
>>382098871
Maybe they shouldn't have started developing their single most ambitious game EVER on a console that was already on its way out the door.
Dinosaur Planet's development was doomed from the start.

No, the game was mostly complete. And most of it WAS changed when moved to SFA. The levels were modified, new levels were made, and the story changed A LOT.
>>
>>382098871
I wish Miyamoto dies before the DP development team members. Then maybe the ROM finally gets leaked.
>>
I am looking forward to the rom getting dumped

The original Star Fox is easily one of my top 5 games. (64 can suck it)
All these years I wanted to play 2 and when I finally got around to it it turned out to be garbage.
>>
>>382099334
>the game was mostly complete.
There's no evidence to suggest that besides most of the game's voice acting having been recorded, which is something done fairly early on anyway.
>>
>>382099768
You played a beta.
>>
>>382096553
You have to ask the Stamper brothers for that, they have lots of unreleased test roms.

>>382098871
This is some revisionist history right there, or a joke I don't understand.
>>
>>382099980
I am kind of more informed on the situation than the rest, and I know that if anyone other than devs has a copy, they are not telling, or sharing.

Some devs have copies (one even lost his but didn't care), but right now they cannot release them. Apparently, Rare HQ has a copy somewhere (again, not to be released).
>>
>>382093203
I guess, but nintendo will fail yet again to meet demand and I will probably not be lucky enough to beat scalpers so, whatever.
>>
Yeah!

I'm hyped that somebody will rip the ROM from it, upload it to a site like Emuparadise, and allow me to play the fully finished Star Fox 2 on bsnes.

Also, given how inaccurate the NES Mini's emulation was, bsnes (a cycle perfect emulator) is bound to be more accurate than the SNES mini.

No shit, this raises the aftermarket value by a TON, I already preordered 3 of them and plan to resell 1 in christmas, and the other 2 when they stop selling it. I'm planning to get another 3 later this year
>>
>>382100184
Rare having one sounds logical, from what it looked like the Rare Replay titles were not emulated but ported completely, so they must have the source code for these titles, so if they still have the source code for these titles they must have had some good record keeping systems, so they probably kept the source code for many iterations including canceled games or earlier builds of games.

One of the Stamper bros did show that they had a cart for Project Dream, so I'd guess they'd have a bunch more.
>>
>>382100609
The DP roms were kept for no other reasons than "to remember what we once worked on", like a photograph. Again, from what some of the devs said, no, they cannot release anything right now.
>>
>>382101368
That doesn't mean that people can't ask for such things.
>>
>>382093283
I have 4 in a group of people's names all coming my way.

Feels good.

Not really hyped, but intensely curious at least.
>>
>>382101579
Oh, believe me, they do. They do all the time.

Copyright laws are still shit, Miyamoto is still a faggot, and collectors are still....... what do you call an extremely greedy person who derives enjoyment from having something and not giving you any?

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but why would anyone buy this when you can just emulate for free. Pretty sure I'm the first person to mention this. And here's a bonus one: has anyone heard of Raspberry Pi? You can load full romsets from many retro systems onto an SD card. Just wanted to pop in here and make sure you guys are all aware of these points. Haven't seen any of them posted yet. To summarize: you can emulate all these games for free. Just a reminder in case anyone was unaware. Peace
>>
I'd be hyped if there was a snowball's chance in hell of getting a SNES Mini to even play the fucking thing.
>>
>>382093203
I already played it.
>>
>>382103687
RasPi is fucking garbage. You can go to a pawn shop and buy a laptop for $60 that's thrice as powerful as one of those pieces of fucking garbage, with better emulator support and more application than being a piece of shit that plays videogames.
>>
>>382094013
Like a year and a half between the cancellation of SF2 and the release of the N64 console.
Nintendo stole the coding used in SF2 for later games.
