Well I honestly doubt it. Other than characters being well written, they've never been "real" to me. They just remain a character in a game, show, movie, book etc. I'm actually excited now since I know it completely unnecessary to do any romance. I have had the game sitting in my drawer since release.

That doesn't mean much until you play the game. The same way that romancing can be avoided, it's also an option if you JUST so happen to like a girl character. Just play the damn game and stop worrying about random shit, how you like the characters (or not) will obviously depend on your own experience than just sitting around here lurking on /v/.

I didn't even have the prospect of romancing someone when I first played it, but I happened to find a favorite enough to actually want to romance them. I practically avoided /v/ and other gaming sites like a plague so I could build my own opinion on the game/characters and I'm actually glad for it considering the rampant shitposting around here that could skew your perception.
