I KNOW most games these days just use soundscaping to signal threats that don't actually exist, yet when I do hear something, I instantly hide in a corner, closet or bush for 3 minutes just to be safe.

Afraid of Monsters is a half-life mod so you need that or an engine remake like xash3d. I would recommend They Hunger too thought it's more horror themed action than real horror.

Playing on hard in RE3 is like playing on normal for most other Resident Evils, so I still don't see how it's casual filter.

I will admit that fighting Nemesis before you've got any of the upgraded guns or the magnum is incredibly hard, but you don't actually have to fight him then, running away is always an option until the second half of the game, so you can't call him a casual filter either.

Dude I loved BoTW but they aren't hard to beat. It's just simple side-jumping anytime they charge and you get free hits in. They also get taken down by headshot crits making them even easier. There is never a moment where you should be getting targeted by their bow either, that's the only time that they get into shitting on you territory.
