Doug's a bit of a bigot, but that's his choice and he keeps to himself. The whole furor erupted only because someone specifically quizzed him on his stance towards gay marriage (YEARS ago), it's not like he went out of his way to vent

I doubt there were enough people to "stick it to da SJEWS" to make a difference. IIRC it barely got its initial funding goal, which after factoring the steam and kickstarter cut, probably left Doug n' co. with almost no money to really work on the game.

It's a shame because it's a passion project that looks like it needs a lot more polish.
