Had Roy let Dashwood live then I might have let him live in replays but nah, fuck those ghouls.

Kill Roy: You keep a nice place in the Capital Wasteland (And a suite if you decided to blow up Megaton) but Three Dog gets mad at you for it

Let Roy in: Tenpenny Tower gets fucked but you get a useful mask for traversing Ghoul Territory

The best option of course is to just kill Roy and if playing the PC version, use console commands to put the mask in your inventory. Also mods to avoid blowing up Megaton but can still get the room

If you play it like skyrim (ignore the main quest and just go wandering) then it can be a decent time waster. Just mod the shit out of it, let you craft ammo for yourself from the get go, unlock hacking and lockpicking from the start (you already have to do the fucking "mini game" to open the lock/hack the computer, why put it behind arbitrary skills with level requirements), and just go wandering.

The only real issue here is that the game takes karma away for killing the ghouls. The idea of a quest ending with everyone misunderstanding your actions and hating you for them even though you did the right thing is kind of cool.
