Some of you might call me a shill for this, but I just wanted to get this information out there.

You can use the 8bitdo controllers on your switch as pro controllers!!!!!!
>>
>>382044839
Wait, really?
>>
That's a cool design, but how does it feel?
>>
>>382044839
You already shilled this earlier today.

SAGE
>>
i've been thinking about getting one to play on my pc, is it worth it?
>>
>>382044839

Fuck you, are you teasing me? Provide proof immediately
>>
>>382044995
I've only used one once but it feels like an SNES controller basically.

I can't really say much about the buttons and sticks because I didn't play with it for long, I'm only talking about how it feels to hold it.
>>
>>382044995
I just bought one recently myself. They're pretty good actually. Obviously not top of the line, the Dpad is kinda stiff for motions but is pretty precise, the analog sticks are kinda like Vita analogs, not bad not great, the L1/L2/R1/R2 buttons take getting used to, but overall it's really solid. Definitely worth the price.
>>
>>382044839
I don't own a Switch, but how are these as PC Xbox controllers?
>>
Not OP but at least the pro one works for Switch, the ZL and L buttons are really awkwardly placed though. I'm excited for the SNESpro.

If this is shill shut up faggot

They're releasing a SNES30 PRO late this year that's even cooler.

It has better shoulders.
>>
>>382044995
>>382045114
For me it was totaly worth it. It cant compare to a xbox one or ps4 controller, but the digipad and the buttons really have this old school feel! I mainly use it to play games on my surface. With the new update it works like a charm!

Here it shows how it works, if you want more proof then google it

>>382045339
If you play on a stationary pc then I`d recommend an xbone controller, but if you would like to play on your laptop then definetly get the 8bitdo

>>382045378
The shoulder buttons are a bit awkward in the beginning. But I got used to it.

They've been doing this exact shit for years, they even make a bluetooth N64 controller.
>>
>>382045759
It is. Same way all the console clones that use duplicate snes controllers are legal. That shit expired long ago.
>>
I wish they'd release a receiver for the n64 controller

>>382045378
OP here, again Im not shilling. (or maybe I am because this made me very happy)
I just had this holy shit moment at home where I wanted to update the controller and saw that I can use it on my switch.
I feared having to buy additional switch controllers because they are so fucking expensive.
So seeing that this small controller could do the same just made my day. I just wanted to share this.

>>

I have the NES edition and it is a lot more comfortable than it looks. Not on the level of DualShock/XBox but still good enough.

D-pad is average, rest of the buttons are very good.
>>
>>382046797
China is on the fucking come up. The tech boom in Shenzhen can be felt everywhere. It won't be long before Chinese products not only cost less but are better products than anywhere else in the world. Qanba is already starting to take over the arcade stick market, 8bitdo has been making huge strides in their improvements to their controllers, it's nuts.
>>
>>382046984
NES30 Pro and FC30 Pro are $42 on Amazon. They're basically the same controller, but with different skins (NES or Famicom)
>>
>crtl F phone
zero results. . .

does it work with phones and bluetooth
>>
>>382046013

Would that be possible with the stick?

It's made by the Chinese. Their country has no legal system. They just let the guy who kills off the most endangered species decide the rules.

>tfw console controllers all have basically the same button layout and general design but will never be cross-compatible
>>
>>382048212
It's a lot better now. When you boot it up you just go to online updater to get your cores and such. Then you just use run content and boy I hope you know your file directories for your phone. But that's about as complicated as it gets. Basically the menu just doesn't make logical sense so you just have to know where things are and how they work. You can tell the devs really fucking love Linux.
>>
>>382048291
But you can use Dualshock for Xbone and x360 for PS3 with right adapter
>>
>>382044839
my R button got stuck after a month and the D pad is subpar. got my refund though, after doing the research it's made by some bootleg hong kong company.
I should've known better, but never again
>>
Are there any 3rd party controller adapters for the switch yet? I plan on getting a switch eventually, but shilling more money out for controllers seems retarded when I have plenty of old ones. I also wanna use my DS3 as a second controller for my Xbone so an adapter seems like a cheaper way to go.

That's what I do with my SFC30 and it is the best fucking way to play stuff like Puyo Puyo Tetris or Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
Cave Story is nice too but without ZL/ZR you can't aim-lock.
Surprisingly, you can play Mario Kart 8 with this. You won't get the finer control on turns.
You can sorta play ARMS with this, but you won't be able to guard because no L3.

>>382045571
Really, really looking forward to getting an SFC30 Pro just for these reasons.
>>
>>382051326
Wait. That one doesn't have 4 shoulders?
>>
>>382049190
It may be possible. The Mayflash Gamecube adapter was rigged to emulate a Pokkén controller.
It means the analogue stick acts like a d-pad and the c-stick is used for the plus and minus buttons, but it functions.

And that was before Nintendo implemented a USB connection mode for the Switch Pro Controller. They could emulate that instead.
>>
>>382051554
This is the regular SFC30.
The SFC30 Pro comes out later this year, I really want it.

When using the SFC30 as a Switch Pro Controller, you press Down + Select to press the Home button. Works for opening the Home menu, or the suspend menu.
>>
>>382044995
A tad little, but great notheless.
>>
>>382044839
I don't have child-like baby hands like you do.
>>
If I can't into technology whatsoever can I get this to work on my switch?
>>
>>382051073
You have terrible grammar. See me after class.
>>
>>382052503
You might have a little trouble.
You start by using a firmware flashing program on Windows, to flash a firmware to the 8bitdo controller.

Once you've done that, you can connect it to the Switch using a pairing process.
>>
>>382051149
Yeah, I can't imagine using those sticks.
>>
>>382051690
how does the the nes pro one feel without the handles?
>>
>>382048212
It's much better now.
I use it for everything but SNES, because my phone can't run regular SNES9X bsnes i shouldn't even talk about

The only thing i have against it is that it doesn't save anything if i force close the app. I have to manually navigate through the menu and close it through the app itself.
Although I made it create save states now after it is terminated, haven't tested it yet.

>>382048509
Do you have problems with it not saving your progress? I think it doesn't save my configurations as well.
>>
>>382053448
I dunno, my brother has one but I haven't had the chance to try it.
>>
>>382044995
>flat as fuck
Looks like an anti-ergonomic nightmare.
>>
>>382054339
What's anti-ergonomic about a flat surface?
>>
>>382044839
You know, I'm glad that copyrights and patents don't exist in China. Thank god we can get these controllers cheaper and of the same quality as the originals without having to pray Nintendo will "be kind enough" to produce them again.
>>
>>382053892
If you just hit the home button and let the app restart it won't save, you need to manually close out for it to save or turn on periodic auto savestates.
>>
>>382044839
It is shit anon, don't buy 8bitdo shit.

>>
>>382045693
If L/R are the triggers then where are the L2/R2 or ZR/ZL or RB/LB buttons?
>>
>>382055210
That's very much not true. Dpad is good, just not good for everything. Good for platformers, bad for fighting games. Design is literally a SNES pad. Feels great in the hand. The wireless is just as good as a DS4, no dropped inputs, strong signal, low latency. I know because I compared the two. If you want something to complain about it should be the less than stellar analog sticks or the L2/R2 buttons being a bit awkward. It's not a perfect controller but it's a shit ton better than you're giving it credit for.
>>
>>382055681
Scroll down a little more. The regular SNES knock off stays true to the SNES layout.
