It took me a few, but mostly because I usually do a throw-away attempt at most of those bosses just to learn the patterns/gimmicks.

That said, I've found I play too defensive for some fights. Just standing back and refusing to attack until they leave themselves open. Usually works, but bites me in the ass other times.

There are two powerups in 8-3 alone. Hit more plain bricks, that's where a lot of the hidden items are.

I don't know if 8-4 has even a single mushroom though. But it's very doable as small Mario.

I'm glad world 8 isn't a walk in the park. The last world of a game should be challenging.

Man I sucked so much shit when I first started. I started with a bowgun and boy did I not know how damage areas work or best ranges for each ammunition.

Took me like 40 minutes to kill an offline Peco. I think I did it on my first try but it was a long ass try. With the last 30 minutes being normal1 ammo fired at like max range.

500 hours in Tri offline and online with randoms and friends, 600 in 3U solo, 120 in 4U solo, 140 in FU with my friend.

Thank god I got good.

But the bows will help you a ton in the game, just after the minotaur you can get that dragon blade by sniping the dragon tail, you can even kill the dragon too if you want, hell with the bow you can even snipe down Havel if you want, you have to do it when you open the door tho or he will just fucking crush you.

Have you literally never beaten any of the bosses your first try before? Are you actually that garbage? Ludwig took me 2 tries, blood bitch 1 try, orphan probably a good 10 or so. But even the final boss of the original game took only 1 try and the fucking ayy lmao was only 1 try as well. Hell looking back most of the bosses I beat on my first try, I died to some weird one like the witches but amelia and shit was all done on my first try.
