MK8 and Pokken DX are the only true ports, BotW doesn't really count since they released at the same time.

I feel like if Nintendo doesn't announce a new DX title by the end of the year, thats probably it for them. I can't see titles like Wonderful 101, Captain Toad, 3D World, Tropical Freeze or even Bayo 2 getting a DX version.

Mario Kart in general is just a really huge franchise and had a lot of DLC to justify a DX version. Pokken had new Pokemon in the arcade that they could easily bring over. If it didn't have DLC, I don't see it happening.

Honestly, I think Hyrule Warriors and Sm4sh are the only ones that really would get a port.

said, your article says that Nintendo only wants to do it if they can add to the game, so the Japanese arcade Pokemon for Pokken+Ghost Owl, Mario Kart with the 8 DLC and Battle Mode, they aren't going to want to have to add content to every single WiiU, and remember Kimishima is in this for $$$$$ so probably only the stuff with the highest attachment rate is going to make it over, but maybe not even all of that, will they be able to get Sakurai back for more content in Smash 4 Switch? Will bringing Platinum and SEGA back in be more expensive than Bayonetta 1+2 Switch is worth? Etc.

I'm collecting the WiiU library and I didn't intend on doing that back when I bought XBCX standard. I found it for pretty cheap lightly used online and I'm wondering if it's worth it.

Can anybody who owns it tell me how they like it?
How is the artbook?
What music did they pic? I assume the usb drive it comes on is tiny.
Is the box cardboard?
Do you think it's worth getting for the contents since I already have the game?

Yeah, it sounds like they pretty much want to make definitive versions.

That pretty much leaves Smash, Hyrule Warriors, New Super Mario Bros U (I feel like Nintendo is trying to distance themselves from this version of Mario), Pikmin 3, Splatoon (unlikely with 2 coming out), XCX and #FE.

Nintendo wants to definitely make Xeno a top tier IP, so XCX feels likely to me.

I enjoyed my Wii U initially
Then got annoyed when all that was coming out for it were Mario spinoffs and games that just weren't worthy of an $80 price tag
Then felt a little betrayed when the Switch showed up
Then hacked my Wii U and tore into all the games I wasn't buying

In the end it was a good run and a good system, still Nintendo's worst contextually though

I forget where the guide is, check /vg/. It's piss-easy though, maybe takes about 20 minutes? You just need a legit copy of a DS game from the eShop on your system (Brain Age is cheapest)

And yeah, you'll need separate drives for your Wii/GC and Wii U stuff. Different drive formats. No way to partition a single drive either.
