Years ago I was watching a stream with a bunch of other fa/tv/irgins, and needed a quick name. We were watching a bunch of shitty 80's slasher flicks, and at the time I needed a name, the killer made a terrible pun, so I made that my name. I ended up really liking it, so I kept on using it.

As a wee child I had a phase of liking phoenixes. Made an account called FlamePhoenix. Still use that name off and on today - it's kinda lame, but not something Ive ever really seen in game from anyone else

I've had the same Microsoft recommended gamer tag name for everything since 2007. Had some usernames before that, but don't remember(probably xXxDante666xXx or some shit)

I stared at the keyboard until I thought of something that sounded decent that nobody would have taken.

Ended up with Middry and used it ever since. Some people pronounce it "Mid Dry" though, which is probably my fault. "Mid-ree" is correct.

My brother would always name his Pokemon MC something fruit related, like apple or banana. I wanted to do that too but wanted something different. I chose beans, but that wasn't cool enough, so I added a Z for the S, so beanz. My favorite number is 28 so I added that before. So it's 28beanz, beanz, or beanzies depending on the account.

I based it off of some stupid book series I read as a kid. It was catchy, so I kept it

I put all my initials together (not in order) to make my username, and ended up with "bawps"

I just, like, picked one of my favorite game characters.

I use a nickname people used to use for my father (he was with me while registering my first "real" account).
Only bad thing is that it's often taken since it's a word in my language so I use some numbers after that look ugly as shit, I hate them now but I've used them for so long that I don't want to change.
